Sweet, welcome here anytime!!
I unfortunately haven`t checked out the scene in Toronto, what`s it like??
Also I make the music for our Luciferrot performances. Not really professional stuff, but one person in attendance compared it to Coil.
I could send someone a demo if interested.
Ok, back on topic.....

You`ve been PM'ed :)
Yeah, that sounds about the same as most typical/popular goth events here. Generally only one kind of EBM too, the typical harsh EBM/dark electro type Suicide Commando clone music. Occasionally interspersed with techno, and brief breaks here and there of new wave/synthpop/80s and Batcave/death rock/psychobilly.
If you want other styles, like the stuff I play, you gotta dig more into the underground and go flyer-hunting.
