I was introduced to them recently, and I'm totally in love with the album. A wonderful electronic darkwave sound. I highly recommend them to everyone...

No, no and NO.

Wow I can't believe someone thought AFI and Alice Cooper were considered Gothic...
On to topic: Check out Play Dead and Specimen. I've been listening to them all week.

One way I get to hear bands I haven't yet heard of is through Radio Ghoul School streaming radio and Dark Culture podcasts. If you hear a band you like, you can usually find them on MySpace or through other means.

One band I have always liked is Arch Enemy. Not exacltey goth. They are actually considered a death metal band from what I hear. And if for some reason you do decide to listen to them, the singer is a female. I'm extremely impressed by what she can do.

I've only got Elizium by Fields of the Nephilim, but I'm not a big fan (except for Moonchild, great stuff that one). Maybe I just need to listen to the album again, but I found that it takes too long to get anywhere, and often I just get tired of the tracks pretty quickly. I'm more of a Sisters fan, even if they don't have cowboy hats
I feel the same way. I have to say I prefer the Sisters of Mercy to Fields of the Nephilim, but they are both good bands anyway. And the band I have to recommend, dunno if they've been said yet, is the 69 Eyes. They rock.

The other things meah knows kinda relavant, beautiful music is Haggard.. That's not really new, that's something worthy.. and I've heard they had 20 people in team last year.. imagine that..

Good goth and deathrock reccomendations of mine ranges from SexGang Children to Bauhaus, so not only do I mention them. But in the vain you're speaking of, the Neph may be your best bet.

Does nobody like Nosferatu?!
You really should check them out, they are amazing.
You might like some older more post-punk Gothic Rock stuff like
Sex Gang Children
Specimen
Skeletal Family
Or more recent darkwave and eletronic sounding gothic rock bands like
London After Midnight
Deva Destruction
Maybe even some angry bands who do a mix of Gothic Rock and angry Alternative and Punk rock songs. Jack Off Jill is a good example of that.

I wouldn't say Inkubus Sukkubus is goth though. Pagan Rock, sure, but not exactly goth.
Give Velvet Acid Christ a try if you like Wumpscut, also KMFDM is good if you like the industrial songs
Unto Ashes is amazing in terms of darkwave/something pagan or oriented
Joy Division for old school goth, they are amazing tho
London After Midnight, Hannah Fury (dark cabaret kind of), Collide, Christian Death, a covenant of thorns, Miranda Sex Garden, and the usuals

Black Tape for a Blue Girl, I'd say. Very gloomy and they have alot of haunting melodies. And some of Miranda Sex Garden's stuff aswell

 LYE
Toronto's LYE has been one of my favorite hometown bands for the last few years. Sad to say they're calling it quits. Still suggest you check them out on myspace and they're doing their last show Dec. 18 at Tattoo. Me and a bunch of friends are going to check them out.
