Kates clothing http://www.katesclothing.info/

I bought a dress from there. I did run all my mesaurments through the seller, she toled me what would fit me. The dress came with ligthning speed, but didn't fit. I couldn't get it on at all.
I emailed her, she obviously didn't know what she was selling, the dress didn't have a zip, and she didn't know.
It's sent back now, not a problem with that.

2/5. She didn't know what she was selling.

Website: Cathouse Clothing (Please note some of the things on this site may not be school/work safe)
Items Ordered: Best left to your imagination
Estimated Delivery Time: Usually shipped in two business days, allowing up to 14 days in the UK, or 28 for US etc.
Actual Delivery Time: Shipped as soon as the order was received, arrived the following day.

Ordering off this site was no problem at all, I've brought from CHC twice now, and both times my ordered arrived two days after I ordered them. My orders were placed sometime during the evening, and the following day I received an email from Caroline at CHC informing me my order had been dispatched by first class recorded mail. And sure enough, my order arrived the following day.

I haven't needed to return anything, and the delievery prices I think are extremely reasonable as well. In the UK, it's £3, regardless of how much you purchase. They also don't charge your card (if you order online) until the item is ready to be dispatched.

I'm sure I'll order from there again, even though some of their prices can be quite high, some are quite reasonable.

5/5

Website: http://www.garmentdistrict.com/
Items ordered: Manic Panic hairdye & bleaching kit

Due to the Manic Panic shop site being down at the time I wished to make my purchase (they have a seperate .biz for their online store, seperate from their .com main site, and their .biz registration had expired at the beginning of May, it's up again), I used Google to find another online store that sold Manic Panic hairdye. Contrary to their claim that they had the largest selection of colours at factory direct pricing, vampfangs.com didn't have the colours I wanted, and so I went elsewhere. The Garment District was where I ended up.

If you can find the colour you want at vampfangs.com, then they are $0.25 cheaper than TGD, but even at $7.50 TGD is still $2.50 cheaper than Manic Panic's own site for the hairdye and $1.50 cheaper with the bleaching kit.

Service: I placed my order on May 7th at about 9pm, and on the afternoon of May 10th, I had a little package waiting for me next to the door. When purchasing bleach federal requirements dictate that it must be sent by either UPS ground or USPS surface mail, they don't airmail/freight it due to it being a hazardous chemical I guess. Being that TGD is located in Massachussetts and I'm located in New York, it didn't have far to go which accounts for the speedy arrival time.

You receive an automated confirmation email once your order is placed. And when it is shipped via a trackable method, you receive an email with the tracking number in it so you can track it yourself.

All in all 5/5 for speedy shipping and handling, good product selection (a vast range of the MP colours) and the competitive pricing. I would certainly order from them again.

Website: www.amazon.co.uk
Item ordered: Morrowind (PC game if anyone didn't know but I thought I'd include this since I used amazon and I couldn't see any negative sides to their service.. I might just have bad luck)
Delivery estimate: 3 weeks
Actual delivery: 5 weeks

This was quite a while ago since I haven't done any online shopping in a while..

Also the delay in delivery might have been because they had a lot of trouble finding my house :P we live in the middle of nowhere

Website:Beeunique/Funky Ears
Items Ordered: Hair dye/earrings
Estimated Delivery Time: 2/3 days time.
Actual Delivery Time: Two days time, not including the lost order.

I have ordered twice from Beeunique, and both times have experience problems. With my first order, the payment went through, but Paypal timed out on my browser and the order didn't go through properly. However, one of the sellers has an MSN address specifically for the site, and via MSN messenger, she was amazingly helpful and quick at sorting things out for me. After that my order arrived within a couple of days.

With the second order, which was placed on their sister site Funky Ears, the payment went through, and Beeunique recieved it...but Paypal somehow forgot to charge my account. So basically I got a free order!
Anyway, the first order went out on a Wednesday, but I never recieved it. I contact the seller again, and although standardly you are supposed to wait 15 days before they can send a replacement, she sent a replacement order out the next Monday. I received this on the Wednesday, and although I haven't yet seen a hint of the first package, I am very content with the replacement.

Despite the problems, I really can't fault Beeunique's customer service, I would rate it the absolute best from a company than I've seen in years. However, Paypal, as noted, is INCREDIBLY dodgy to pay through, I personally don't recommend paying through it.

4/5 - Paypal (and perhaps Royal Mail!) is the only downfall, but the company overall can't really be faulted.

Website: Goth Rosary
Items ordered: "Nocturnal" fragrance mist and "Nocturnal" lotion.
Service: I used PayPal as payment, and received a confirmation e-mail right after I ordered; I received another e-mail letting me know that my order was shipped, and a tracking number for USPS.

I received my items 8 days after I placed my order, which I thought was good since it came via USPS from Oregon (I'm on the east coast). The items are FANTASTIC. The scent I chose, "Nocturnal", is a blend of cloves, patchouli and nag champa; the fragrance mist has a nice pump sprayer, and the lotion is thick, rich, and has plenty of frangrance in it. There were also little candies included with my order.

The prices were very reasonable; $10 for the fragrance mist, and $6 for the lotion.

I'm very pleased with my purchases. I give Goth Rosary 5/5. Thank you, AntiSally!

Website: www.shoesonline.com.au

Item(s) ordered: Demonia boots, knee high, Gravel 20

Delivery estimate: Not given, once my order was accepted an email was sent saying "Shoes Online order weekly from the manufacturer and receive our orders the following week providing they are in stock. We will advise you via email or telephone if the manufacturer is out of stock of your selected item."

Actual delivery date: 3 weeks

Customer experience comments (if any): Pretty good service, replies to my emails took 1-3 working days (I sent 3 emails to them, first to check their returns policy, second to query the shipping I was charged and third to get an update on the status of my order after 2 and half weeks). Their returns policy looks fair. I was originally charged extra for shipping and emailed a query about this. Their website had not been updated to include international boot shipping prices so I was not charged at the higher rate.

Overall experience/rating: 4/5

Additional comments: This supplier does not hold much stock many so there will be a 2 week wait (approx) for each order while they place the order and receive it from their supplier. Once shoesonline received my boots from their supplier they were sent to me in New Zealand from Australia and I received them the next day (much much faster than I expected).
I saved about $100 buying these boots from shoesonline.com.au rather than buying them from a New Zealand reseller. :D

Website: www.thomann.de

Item(s) ordered: Jackson KV2 Electric Guitar :D

Delivery estimate: 4-8 days.

Actual delivery date: I think it was 6-7 days,

Customer experience comments (if any): What I liked most about this site is that as soon as you place an order you deal with the same person from start to finish - a real human being for once! :P They e-mail you personally with all details of your order and if you have any queries etc that same person responds (in my experience, very quickly.) The same sales rep texts you when the order is dispatched and gives you a more up to date delivery estimate.

Overall experience/rating: 5/5

Additional comments: Really great site. Amazing value and choice. It's always risky buying expensive instruments online, but the guitar arrived in immaculate condition, in-tune and with the tremolo perfectly balanced. Their returns policy is excellent and the site is easy to use. Highly recommended.
