If you like Wumpscut you may be interested, I'm not saying they sound the same, but they do tend to all be *usually* slow and aggressive so they might fit into your tastes. Oh, and Suicide Commando
Combichrist is a great band. Almost as good as Wumpscut
But, I'll have to check out Acid Christ.

A new band I've just been getting right into are called "The Tenth Stage". Some really good macabre music.
http://www.thetenthstage.com/
and
http://www.myspace.com/thetenthstage
Mary Rose: About a woman who finds her husband in bed with the maid and kills him then locks his corpse in the bedroom.
Sweet Jenny: About a girl who likes knives and human flesh.
Francois Martin: About a guy who gets his head chopped off and the head sings about killing his four wives.

You should check these bands:
Say-Y (BlutEngelish,I would say...)
Trümmerwelten (Also some similarity to BlutEngel)
Tristesse De La Lune (Ex-singers from BlutEngel)
L'Ame Immortelle (It has mentioned here already...)
Terminal Choice
Pain of Progress
Pain Manifesto (Some similarity to Wumpscut)
Cinderella Effect
You might also like Tumor and Brainclaw...

I recommend Einsturzende Neubauten (collapsing new buildings). A good album from them is Tabula Rasa. Their newer stuff is easier to listen to than some of their older albums.
You could also pick up some Pigface. Martin Atkins worked with Trent and also Ogre (Skinny Puppy) - get the Gub album.
And speaking of Ogre, you have to love his side project, Ohgr. Both Sunnypsyop and Welt are great and danceable.

Their web site is also pretty cool with a great design and lots of urban photos taken at night. I immediately bought all 3 Life's Decay albums when I stumbled upon them
Awesome. Just ... awesome.
Thanks for the recommendation, Synthgoth. I'm really enjoying this band.
I'm enjoying the samples on the TenthStage web site as well.
This is not helping me save money here, gang.
As for my recommendation, if you're a fan of the dreampop/darkwave sound, one of my favorite bands in that genre is Love Spirals Downwards.

They even have a song to download.

I highly suggest you check out Fields of the Nephilim. They're basically just like the Sisters of Mercy.

I like Fields better than the Sisters, actually. They have a darker and more progressive sound, and lyrically are far superior.
I still love First and Last and Always and previous Sisters works, but they don`t really touch what Carl McCoy and co. have done.
I`d get everything up to Elizium, after that, they got more into the metal scene and lost their unique edge.

Fields of the Nephilim are absolutly amazing.
One band that is just beautiful is Diary of Dreams. They started out simply darkwave but became so much more with a neat dreamy industrial sound that's all their own.

Diary of Dreams haven`t really changed their direction all that much, really.
They`ve progressed over the years and have become better songwriters, although I`m beginning to feel their stagnation over the last few albums, as old ideas get recycled.
I love the Cholymelan debut, but it seems like almost all the songs follow a similar pattern, and just kind of fade in and fade out before really building up to anything, and without ever really going anywhere.
End of Flowers, Bird Without Wings, and Psychoma were Diary of Dreams in their creative prime.

I've only got Elizium by Fields of the Nephilim, but I'm not a big fan (except for Moonchild, great stuff that one). Maybe I just need to listen to the album again, but I found that it takes too long to get anywhere, and often I just get tired of the tracks pretty quickly. I'm more of a Sisters fan, even if they don't have cowboy hats

Fans of Fields of Nephilim should check out NFD. Tony Pettitt and Simon Rippin from the Neph are in the band and I think they're actually better than FofN.

Yes, Fields are more about building up epic, ambient moody pieces. I`ve heard people compare them to the Sisters meets Pink Floyd. Not really accurate, but not really far off either. They`ve got a complex sound based on atmosphere.
NFD are, alright. Their stuff sounds a little too much like what FOTN did on Fallen, or what Carl did on Zoon, but much better.
