I really like London After Midnight. My favorite song of theirs is Kiss, and Letter to God. I think they're mad. You might also like Clan of Xymox but I only like their album Notes from the Underground.

I didn't read this whole thread, I'm just posting because people love having their voice heard. Anyways, I would recommend going to gothicfest.com and seeing what their band lineup is, and listening to the songs on their website. You might like some of those.

I recently discovered a very impressive French band Life's Decay. I liked their song Gloria so much that I played it 50 times in a row when I found it. Their web site is also pretty cool with a great design and lots of urban photos taken at night. I immediately bought all 3 Life's Decay albums when I stumbled upon them.

This is the goth/industrial music section. Your suggestions (save The Cure perhaps) are neither.

Want some really dark and evil music check out some Black Metal. My faves are Dimmu Borgir and Satyricon. There is also Immortal, Dark Funeral, Darkthrone, Mayhem, Gorgoroth, and Emporer. Thats all I can think of right now. Hopefully this list is in the right music section. Cause Im sure yall are gonna tell me im wrong for putting it in industrial section.

Try Demonika and the Darklings and James D. Sark. Both are amazing and really nice if you message them on Myspace.

Well, they're not goth bands .
Since initally posting in this thread, I've discovered Killing Miranda and Faith and the Muse. Both show the versatality of goth music, I think. The former are a guitar-driven, sex-fuelled gothic rock band with a large tongue-in-cheek element embedded in their lyrics, while the latter are a relaxing, meditative, ethereal act very much in the vein of Dead Can Dance.
I also forgot to mention Bloody Dead and Sexy in my first post. One of my favourite bands, deathrock with, again, an intentional (I hope, anyway ) satirical outlook.
L'Ame Immortelle are wonderful also, one of the first goth bands I discovered. I had kind of forgotten about them until recently, but I've recieved their album 'Getzeiten' and it is incredible
And, of course, 45 Grave
All bands can be found on Myspace or last.fm for samples.

Killing Miranda are fantastic. I love how they've managed to capture the classic goth sound while sounding fresh and new at the same time.
I recommend ASP, Ardor, Corvus Corax, Ghost of Lemora, Uninvited Guest, Screaming Banshee Aircrew, Zeitgeist Zero, Zombina and the Skeletones, Cybercide, Schmoof, Psydoll, Violet Stigmata and NFD I've seen them all live (except for Corvus Corax sadly) and they're all brilliant live, I wouldn't pass over the chance to see any of them again. Their cds are worth checking out too.

Yes, but we're discussing goth music, not other genres.

Arcana is a good band, too. They have great, classical instrumentals and a vocal tone with some similarities to My Dying Bride. I don't know what genre they'd be considered, but they have a dark edge that is hard to refuse. The first song I heard from them was "Innocent Child", and thats a good listen. Thats all I can think of for now, but if I find more, I'll update.

This is the goth/industrial section, not a metal section. Please stay on topic.
