GOTH.NET SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE - Wednesday Evening, 6th December, 2006

 Hey all,
GOTH.NET will be going down at some point on Wednesday, Dec 6th to install new hardware - in fact, an entire new system. The plan is: - The new hardware arrives at the data center, and gets put into a case and turned on (not public yet). - I start taking down some of GOTH.NET's services, and copy data from GOTH.NET to the new hardware. - Once I am pretty sure all data is copied, GOTH.NET is taken down, and some hardware is moved into the new box. - The new GOTH.NET system is brought up (public). I will be ensuring the old system is still available once the new system is up just in case I forgot something, however there will probably be an outage of at least a few hours for all of this. This should happen Wednesday, but of course I cannot guarentee it, if they decide not to assemble my new box until Thursday, then it will not be until Thursday. Though I expect it will be Wednesday. Again and as usual, thank you for the information. It's incredible that you take this time to do something like this (goth.net) for all of us (the users). Let us hope the server feels a bit better after this and can get rid of the winter-depression that clearly has been haunting it for some time now.

so...is this why I haven't been able to get email in over a week? (as in, it keeps bouncing...and haven't been able to even check if anything got through...)...though, even more than a week ago, webmail hasn't let me in in months
not that I'm complaining much, its just hard to set sites to go to another email account if they require an email to your main account to do so  _________________ Bad grammar leads to Netspeak.
