I my self am a fan of Tiberian Sun. (Pronounced tib-ear-ian) The game had a great story. I am not going to go into detail cause I just don't want to at the moment (Of the story that is)

Tiberian Sun was made by Westwood (The command and conquer series) But Tiberian Sun was rushed due to the fact that EA was buying them out. So the game was never completed. So I think EA gave them like four months or so to work on a expansion...Which was suppose to be in the original game.

http://pc.ign.com/objects/013/013294.html (Tiberian Sun Firestorm)

Now EA is making a third one... Most fans of Tiberian Sun do not think that EA can do a good job on this.

Just wondering if any one played TS/TSF and thier thoughts about Tiberian Sun: Tiberium wars

Youngens, don't know nothing.

Command & Conquer or C&C: Tiberian Dawn was the First C&C Game.

Most people especially fans actually think this will be one of the best ones barr the orginal game. The EA buy out screwed up the timelines and links with C&C: Red Alert as the orginal idea was Red Alerts were the prequals to the Tiberian but when everyones split well....

Yes I know that was the first one I never said that this was. I just did not wright about Tiberian dawn cause I have never played it.. And cause I was not thinking about it at the moment thank you for reminding me. I will also have to read the story. If you know a link could you PM me with it? ~~Thanks

I have not really checked into the EA web sites about the fans on there but a lot of people on www.tiberiumsun.com did not think EA was going to do a good job because the story was already screwed up. (Philadelphia being shot down by a nod missile), all of the sudden titans being removed from the game, and nods getting mechs really mad a lot of people mad..
Of course I have not checked how people felt about this in a while so thats kind of why I posted this.

(Tiberiumsun.com has lost most of its threads due to a hacker)

Tiberian Sun was an excellent game with a cogent storyline which drove some good C&C based gameplay. However, I think the software was very much of its time and to keep up to date with recent advances I'm not sure whether any new release will quite carry the same excitement whilst keeping true to the original concept. I wish the software designers well, I only buy 1 or 2 games per year these days and TbS would be on my list if they could come close to the challegne and exceitement of the original.

Even as an RTS fan, the Command and Conquer series never appealed to me that much, I'd rather have the original "Cossacks" and it's expansions over C&C any day.

But, back on topic. I'm actually really impressed by how well the game looks considering it's just an updated version of the "Sage" engine that powered C&C: Generals. It's no "Company of Heroes," but it still looks better than any top-down RTS would ever need to.
