Silly girl, it's Janis Joplin! :p
Diva Destruction ("You Are My Sickness" is one of my fave songs ever!)
I second:
-Garbage (Shirley Manson is amazing, the lyrics are so provocative)
-Rasputina (One of my favourite bands, so creative and original. There's something incredibly magical about their music.)
-Siouxsie and the Banchees (of course!)
-Jack Off Jill (Check out their cover of Love Song by The Cure. It's very cool!)
-Theatre of Tragedy
-Nightwish
-Cocteau Twins
-Evanescence (I admit, I'm a huge fan.)
-Kidney Theives
-Inkubus Sukkubus (sp?)

The Distillers
I was waiting for that. Check them out, Brody Dalle is a great singer. They're definitely up there on my list.
And of course don't forget the classic band, Heart.
Also, if you are searching for Goth in particular, check out The Missing. They're moreso underground, so you might have a hard time finding their music anywhere besides buying their CDs online. Really good band anyway. Website: http://www.themissing.com/

Mz O and Her Guns - Eva O's recent band
Nouvelle Vague - a French Bossa Nova covers bands
Patti Smith - erm...Rock?
Peaches - Electroclash
Penis Flytrap - Deathrock
Pilori - Darkwave
Pretenders - Rock
Pretty Girls Make Graves - 'Indie'
Pzychobitch - Industrial
Rainer Maria - Post-Emo
Republica - Pop/Rock
Rubella Ballet - Anarcho-Punk
Sara Noxx - Darkwave
Scarling - Shoegazing
Skeletal Family - Deathrock
The Velvet Underground & Nico - Amazing :p
Voodoo Church - Deathrock
Xmal Deutschland - Goth Rock

Since this is somewhat related:
I'm looking for a certain band with a female lead singer, I was flipping through channels and saw this band on Fuse (I know, I know), they sounded pretty good but I still don't know their name.
All I know is that they sounded like they were Gothic Metal and had a female lead singer who was African American (Don't want to offend anybody).
If anybody has any information, could you please let me know.

Not the most specific request, but I suppose I`ll put down who I've been listening to a lot lately:
Diamanda Galas(my number 1 recommendation.... dark, haunting and utterly frightening vocal experimentation. Get The Divine Punishment and any of her other early studio albums)
Siouxsie & the Banshees(of course, and they`ve probably been recommended 500 times already)
Cocteau Twins(same as above)
Dead Can Dance(ditto)
Faith & the Muse(excellent act who combine traditional gothic rock with medieval influences)
Chaostar(new band from Greece who combine experimental symphonics, operatic vocals, and choirs)
Arcana(beautiful medieval ethereal melodies and ambient soundscapes, their new one is more of a middle eastern ambient album though, with no vocals and lots of percussion)
Dark Sanctuary(dark and atmospheric ethereal ambience)
Gate(folkish medieval hard rock from Norway)
Epica(to tell the truth, their gothic metal stuff didn`t impress me at all, but their new album is an enbtirely symphonic film score)
Bloodflowerz(gothic metal, but a hell of a lot better than commercial crap like Lacuna Coil)
Third & the Mortal(experimental atmospheric Norwegian band)
Ataraxia(beautiful operatic music from Italy)
there`s loads more, but that`s what I`ve been hearing lately, I`ll probably add more later on

The only good ones I know are:
My Ruin
Kidneythieves
Kittie
Paramore
Lacuna Coil
Opeth (or Otep, I get really confused with those)
Crisis
Arch Enemy
And that's it, pretty much.
