I'm from Southern Oregon but I'm looking to do the LA-writer-boy-thing while I'm still in my 20's. Hows the general job market down in the Southern Cal?

I'm from Jefferson State...They should really make southern Oregon and Northen California their own states...the culture is so different once you get north of Davis and south of Eugene.

Hey everone, I'm from Sunnyvale, just a bit outside San Jose (45 min south of SF). There's a good little scene here and in SJ, but most of the goth going-ons are in San Francisco.
<plug>...except for Satori, a goth club I run and dj in Santa Clara on the first Tues of each month ( http://www.clubsatori.com)...</plug>

Hello, I'm mainly from Maryland, but I sometimes reside with my father, who lives in the Hollywood area (formerly in San Fernando valley).

Well, i just posted this topic for any of those West Coasters who lean a little toward the darker side of society. This is an open topic so feel free to bring up any subject you want. By the way, anyone here ever seen a goth try to surf? Ha ha, not a pretty sight, i know, i was one. Kinda like a black cat in a swimming pool. Well, enjoy if you try
Does anyone here live in Marin County?

Re: Darkened California - For all those gothic West Coasters
I used to live in Southern California, Highland to be specific, but now, I'm in Northern California. I live in Crescent Mills, a very small town in rural Plumas County. It's a 3 hour drive north from Sacramento. I think I'm the only goth here though; this place is crammed with religious fundamentalists and cowboys.

Re: Darkened California - For all those gothic West Coasters
Hallo everyone.
I have just signed up, after a couple days of lurking about and exploring this board.
I am not a "visible goth" yet (I have a rather drab exterior and a tendency to become invisible in large crowds and empty rooms alike), but I have a rather gothic interior that has kinda remained hidden for a long time, and I'm working on bringing it out.
I live in Santa Rosa, in NorCal. Anyone around near here?

Covina... a lame little suburb in LA County. Though I'll admit being anywhere near LA has it's benefits
