In Passing is a gem of a project: this young lady has been compiling snippets of conversations overheard in passing for many years now.

This body of work offers a wonderful snapshot of city life in her college state, and some of the quotes are just priceless...

I don't usually have many complimentary things to say about the internet, but it is sites like this* that epitomise what's good about the web in my opinion. :)

*and Goth.net obviously...

LOL. Thats great, really made my day, hehehe. She must be in a college with some strange people, that she finds so many quirky things to post.

Strangely enough, ever since I saw the site, people around me have become a mine of seemingly lunatic quotations; I suspect we spend most of our days talking utter jibberish shorthand to each other, we just don't notice unless we're listening out for it.

I could quote In Passing until all of it was posted here; there's treasure on every page:

"Maybe she knew she was late, so she went to the other one. To trick you."
"What kind of friends do you have? And where is the other Starbucks?"
--A girl and a barista at (surprisingly) Starbucks.

:D

Haha, this is great.
