I found it to be rather boring actually. And the video is just another version of Broken...

On one hand,I do share some of your sentiment RiffRaff: I feel like they have lost some of their old venom and the riffs do sound too familiar...but then again, I'd rather listen to this than most of what passes for music these days...

Meh... not bad, but nothing to write home about either. If the rest of the album is anything like this song, I may pass on it.

Been following the progress of this album from the get-go as I am an avid NIN fan.
This is the only song I have heard from the new album as I, unlike some, have refused to hear any of the leaked tracks. I am going to wait for the album to come out and judge it then (which will be 5-3-05).
I do have to admit, however, that this first track sounds like something they released just to get rotation on mainstream radio. A little too poppy for my tastes, but then again I am not one to say that TR has never written a bad song. Like OMFG!!!one111!!!NIN r0XX0rz!!!!!!!!!

When a band reaches a certain age, I think most people quit asking "will this be their best album yet?" and start asking "will this be when they start to suck?" I'm not saying that NIN is about to sue their fans, go into group therapy, and make a documentary, but from this song at least they feel like they're running low on the creativity that made NIN so wonderful and now they're just focusing on getting "another" album out.
I'll probably still buy it, but I'm not so excited now.

When I first heard The Hand That Feeds I also thought it was a little disappointing, it sounds very poppy and mainstream, however, it has grown on me quite a bit. I still can't wait 'til the new album comes out, I'm lucky because it comes out May 2nd over here- a day earlier than in the US and just before my birthday- and I actually managed to get tickets to one of their shows! I'm a huge fan. I read a brief review of With Teeth and apparently the other songs on the album are not really anything like THTF anyway.

Too much guitar.
He has all of these analog monster synths in the studio (as seen in the video) and he drowns it all with layers of guitar. And not in a cool Broken way.
I hope the rest of the album isn't like that. If it is, this is one NIN album i'll never buy.

There are edible plants with flat, dark green leaves associated with this album? How odd...
Oh! You mean leaks....

O.K I saw it on TV on the rock countdown and I thought it was O.K. Just O.K though. The music video though sucks. It was to plain and boring. I might buy the CD if I see it or something but I'm not planning on it. ???

I bought the Album on friday, I found it very dissapointing. I dont know if Dave Grohl features on all tracks but on the ones that he obviously is, he seems to pretty much dominate the song.
At first I didnt like Hand That Feeds, but it has grown on me, I enjoy it quite alot now.
As For the rest of the album, the only songs I actually like are : "Only", "All the Love In The World", "Sunspots" and "Right where it Belongs V.2". The rest of the album is a bit boring.
There is however a (IMO) really cool image of Trent Reznor on the inside.
