So, has anyone else heard of this bend, and if you have what do you think about it?
I have one CD from them and I like what I've heard.

I like them. Fuego Cayendo is one of my favorite songs from them.

This Ascension is one of the few darkwave bands I'm really impressed with. "Angel Light" introduced me to the group and remains one of my favourite tracks. I'm absolutely addicted to "Columba Aspexit" for its Latin vocals and powerful tribal drumming. I'm also fond of "Mysterium", "Love Lost Years", and "Lydia's Friends".

I love Dru Allen's voice...she's one of my favorite female vocalists. If you like This Ascension, also try Mirabilis, which is Dru Allen and Summer Bowman of The Machine in the Garden; their album "Pleiades" is also excellent, if you like a capella medieval-sounding vocals.
I'd have to say "Mysterium" and "Isabella" are my favorites by This Ascension.
