Thanks, BloodVlad.
You're the first one to not direct me to some sort of "Guide on How to be Goth" info or link. Frankly, I couldn't care less about what is goth and what isn't. This entire debate is just /the/ most ridiculous thing.
Thank you for the links, BloodVlad.
In response to Captain Nevarre:
I checked out the links. The latter of the three "What is goth and what is not" is most likely the reason I will choose to not continue my stay on this board. This has nothing to do with any animosities against anyone, here. Rather do I get the feeling that the level of self-consciousness (do not confuse with self-esteem) here is way too high.
I get the /impression/ that some are trying just a bit too hard to fit their own favorite stereotype. What so often is justified as merely a guideline, reveals more about the author than probably intended.
Well, to stoop down to such code of conduct I shall remove my un1337 self from thy bbs and go poof somewhere in the bitbucket.

truer words were never spoken, my friend! We've got kids in my school that put the lable 'goth' on themselves cause they thing it's cool and cause they listen to HIM ( which is one of the WORST bands in my opinion )
But it will always be like this with the gothic sub-culture. There are many resources available, but not enough will on the wanna-be's side.

I don't like the expression "wanna be". To judge someone as a "wanna be" then you obviously think of yourself as a "true" goth. Isn't that a bit ... pompous?
Who is to judge who exactly /is/ a wanna-be or a true goth?
This entire judgement thing is so totally lame.
Live and let live. Don't declare yourself the non plus ultra. It makes you appear more wanna-be than the ones that /you/ label as wanna-bes.
Get what I am trying to say?

Just ignore my rambling.
Am I really that old compared to the rest? I am not gonna dig through profiles, now. But, oh well.
Soooo, ... whats up?
(So much for my productive contributions..)

LOL, who's productive ? Who?
Anyways, well, yes HAL, you're the oldest. The lowest age boundary is about 15 to the best of my knowledge, with the others set in more or less equal intervals in between (sorry, the Technion gets to me). But being oldest , you're also the wisest, so surely it ain't so bad

Work. Work some more. Sleep. Work again.
Buying a laptop and throwing a fit about the fact that every box has to come with Microcrap Windows.
Then ... uh let me think .. oh yeah: Work. I almost forgot that.
My days are entirely consumed by commuting to work, working and getting home again. Ra'anana/Jerusalem and back again. I have like .. no social life. It has come so far that my social life takes place in buses. Since I work in Jerusalem, i carefully scrutinize any female that does not wear a long skirt. Of course only over the edge of my laptop's screen. ( geek alarm! )
I think I should move to Jerusalem or something. Even though I loathe that city. I try to be a tolerant human being. But I can't stand being in one place with so many religious people.
I feel the insanity creeping up on me.
Ok. I have rambled. QED.

well, i haven't been doing much of anything that i like lately... but i'm still going to that rehab place. and they're getting pissed off at me for never coming on time. they said that in the 3 (almost 4) weeks. i've been there i came on time exactly once. (now twice. from today on, i'll be going on time, so help me god!) god! i don't like being there. but what-to-do. i'll get through it i guess.
on the good side, i'll be starting to work in a toy store next week (most likely) behind the desk, which is great, cause i'ts exactly 2 minutes from my house, and i'm friendly with the owner, so i'm glad.
and i have a job waitressing in febuary too. so it's all pretty good at the moment. i decided to take advantage of the time that i'm home. and then, when i'm done with my 'rehab' i can find a school, and i don't have to worry about how i'm gonna pay for my cigarettes, and other minor details of the sort
besides tha.... i'm still reading dracula. i was off to a late start, and i'm being forced to take it slow. but i'm enjoying it imensly.
by the way HAL, you're not looked at as old, you're just oldEST.
umm.... i'm sick, so i gotta go to sleep (oh, yeah, tomorrow i'll be getting there late aswell, i got a doctors appointment ) good night.

OK,
[Ramble]
Lectures, lectures, sleeping too late and missing lectures, homework, homework, going to the kid I'm tutoring, repeat all these as needed (i.e. twice a week, ) and you'll be seeing a pretty acurate picture of my life .
No social life to speak about too, and I, too, scrutinize every reasonably well looking female on the train going back to Rehovot. Over the differential equations book I'm reading, of course
All that , and the fact that finals start in two weeks, and that I have miluim next month, over two of my exams.
[/ramble]
Life is good

My life is actually improving. On Tuesday a new secratery (or Pkida) came to the office, which means that from now on I'll be doing only legal work and not secraterial. After the Hafifa, of course. She seems very nice, too, so I guess it's a major bonus. My only hope now is to get my own desk when we move into the new offices.
On the other hand, I think I lost my best friend. In two weeks time she'll be drafting and be in a closed base for the rest of her service. As it was until now, she was in Kadatz and came home only on weekends. We talked once a week on the phone and met on Fridays. Now, though, she won't be coming back every Friday.
And that's, folks, is my life at the moment.

Don't worry, when you see people less, every time you see them is quality time
