The song titles are what really get me: "Your Sweet 666" (or something like that....I burned the insert, so this is coming from memory) "Razorblade Kiss" "Join Me in Death" That's cheesy. HIM is essentially glam metal all over again, except with all the trendiness MTV can provide...
Uber cheesy.

I've only ever heard one song (because i flicked through a friend's Kerrang! magazine and they recommended HIM for fans of SoM, so i wanted to check them out), and it was okay. I wouldn't go out of my way to download/buy their music, but if someone randomly gave it to me, i'd probably listen to it.
I found the song titles pretty damn cheesy as well, which turned me off.
I'm neutral on the subject of HIM

X) That's what I was thinking. Let me guess you got that from that bullshit 'nu goth' feature Kerrang had a while back with their laughable list of nu goth bands?

Wow, those are even worse than black metal song titles.

There's more but I thought I'd not post them all as that would be overkill with the cheesiness. I think those ones we've both posted are the worst though by a longshot. :i

Haha. I'm fans of both, but I do not see how they are really related.

They're not. It's just Kerrang! talking out of it's arse again as per usual.

Haha. Odd magazine. I have found one link between the two bands. Vocalists with deep deep voices. Thats all I can figure. If that isn't the connection, you are very correct about which orifice Kerrang! is speaking from.

I love HIM with a passion! Ville has the most amazing voice and he is one of those I admire...they're aren't my favourite band though...believe me you'll find out who THEY are soon enough...and I know all their songs are about love, I wouldn't know if that gets annoying though as I only have one album.:b

Haha, when I heard the HIM song, i was also thinking "WTF?"
I don't tend to buy Kerrang!, a friend of mine bought it for a Pantera poster, and I had a flick. From the sort of misguided 'recommendation' i got from them, i don't think i'll be shelling out my cash for said publication.
