"Help! I registered a while ago but my membership is gone!"

Every once in a while we clean out the database and remove people who registered on the Forums a few months ago and have never posted or been back since. We do this to avoid nickname squatting and to keep a somewhat active userbase.

As of July 1 this means that people who registered on the forums in February and March have been deleted from the database.

If you do sign up, please don't be afraid to post here, we don't bite. If you never intend to post, or don't intend to post for some time, there is no need to sign up as we do not require membership to browse the boards.

Look, I have a question. I'm not authorized to post on any of the boards, except for replying. That is the reason I am replying to this thread to ask my question. I don't know why I am not authorized. I read the rules of the forum and I have no idea what's going on. Please help!

What about if you registered 4.5 years ago, posted a bunch, then stopped posting for a long time, lost your passwords etc. (inlcuding Email) and wanted your old account back?
I'm guessing its not possible, but I had a bunch of posts, and kinda liked having the "joined in 2002" under my name. I was Bloodflower13, and I'm still on the member list.

It's possible for an administrator to reset the e-mail and password used for a member, but doing so without any information other than that which appears on a publicly posted profile opens up a few questions about security (i.e. How do you know you're you?)

PM me the e-mail address and address you wish to use, and I'll run this situation by the rest of the staff. If we agree it's okay to reset the information, I'll do it and notify you.
