Clicky
This seemed a bit more fit to put here rather than music, but I wasn't quite sure.
So, what do you think?

Please no.
To me right wing punk has disturbing echoes of C18 and other skinhead organisations.

Johnny Ramone is a Republican?!
Damn, that's like finding out that the Easter Bunny poisons the chocolate eggs.

These aren't right-wing-extremist skinheads, they're just Republicans. Personally, I think it's nice that some punk bands don't want to "smash the state" or "abolish capitalism" or "liquidate the kulaks as a class." I'll take both moderate liberals or moderate conservatives over EITHER left-wing or right-wing exremism. And let's be honest: a very large proportion of punk isn't liberal, it's left-wing extremist.
The website's articles are hardly fascist or evil. There's an article about how a few Muslim leaders perverted an otherwise-good religion and twisted it to their anti-Semitic purposes (note: they are NOT bashing Islam as a whole); there's a couple articles bashing Kerry (that's good old two-party politics, not right-wing extremism); there's a couple of frustrating-but-not-surprising articles about conservative punk bands being blacklisted from punk venues and the like. The one political cartoon they've got pokes fun at Michael Moore--once again, hardly a sign of fascism and racism.
If you can find ANYTHING skinhead-esque at ConservativePunk.Com, tell me, cause I sure can't. Jumping to the conclusion that conservatism is intimately linked to skinhead-ism is no different than saying that all liberals are Communists.

Don't worry, Johnny Ramone is just karmicly counterbalancing all the hubbub that the Dixie Chicks caused in the country music scene

I guess we just have to ask ourselves: WWJD?
What Would Joey Do? (:
~Nachtzehrer, who promises not to start hating the Ramones as much as he started loving the Dixie Chicks~

Conservative Punk!?!? What in the Hel?
That's like saying "air breathing fish" or "peaceful neo-con".
The mind boggles...

One side has Rush, and now, finally, the other side has answered with Moore. They're fair game. /div wrote: Jumping to the conclusion that conservatism is intimately linked to skinhead-ism is no different than saying that all liberals are Communists.
I'd dare say it's ... worse, even meaner. Meanie-pie.

Conservative Punk. Can you say "oxymoron", boys and girls? By the way: I've been aware of Miss Graves' happy-go-Conservative views since this individual left the Misfits. There's a lot you can learn about a vocalist just by reading a news article in MK Magazine [formerly MK-Ultra].

Sorry if I have caused offence, I did not intend to call the republican party Fascist or Rascist. I simply meant that all the punks I have ever met have been politically polarised, either hard left or hard right.
Also where does "Liquidate the Kulaks as a class" come from?
Stalin. And I really agree with what stalin did (:
Sombody was making a point about tarring people with the same brush?

I'm showing this article to my mom. If this guy can wear knee-high docs, then, dammit, so can I.
I wonder what Bush thinks about punk-rock. Hm...
I need a few minutes to soak all this in........it's just way too weird....

Punks don't always have to be liberal. Remember, there are punks who are neo-nazis.
If a punk can be a neo-nazi, then they certainly can be a republican... granted republican seems a bit too mainstream for them.

Nowhere in my post do I call YOU Stalinist; I was calling the majority of punk bands left-wing extremists of one variety or another, whether they be left-wing anarchists or communists or whatever. Somehow, I don't feel the need to retract that statement

Okay, see, this? This isn't necessary. This is the third post by you I have come across in which you add absolutely no value to the thread. I'm asking you nicely to quit that.
