 I am to move to wellington soon and I dont know many ppl there so I thought I would start a welly region thread and see if there are any here. And well maybe u can tell me of shops to visit and niteclubs to drink in ... maybe

how is the Wellington goth scene anyway? i've only been involved in the punk scene when i was down there and it was half decent (hope the goth scene is better). The Auckland one is... well... let's say alot of the "goths" roaming the auckland streets are Mansonites or Black Metallers... there are a few Gonks (Goth/Punks) B) around so yeh i guess auckland is ok

The goth scene in Wellington is well just like Auckland where I also lived for a while

Wellington is the capital "city" of New Zealand but, by world standards, it probably does classify as small and outback. It probably has to classify as redneck just because parliment is there and it is consquently full of politicians getting "hot under the collar". By most world standards yes wellignton is small, it is the capital city yes and only the third largest city in NZ, but by no means is it a backward town or a redneck town. Wellington is vey diverce in cultures and other things. Lord of the Rings was primarily filmed here, and lots of other cool stuff hapens here also. heres a couple of quick links if you are really really interested:
