I have a suggestion:

Since having pictures in your signature is not allowed, and making posts with colors in is a big no-no (the board even have color-posting dissallowed) I suggest a rule AGAINST colored (text-only) signatures also.

Bright colors just hurt my eyes so bad. And if I go blind, I can not come here and rejoice with you all, and wouldn't that be a shame? =:)

I'd agree, it's distracting when part of the text is a different colour (and not a part you even want to read most of the time)--which is I think part of the reason images aren't allowed either.

I agree, as well. There is no point in coloring signatures unless someone thinks he is "Ko0l" or asks for attention.

Not like my opinion matters, but I also agree.. Seems like such a distraction.

I'd support no animated avatars. Some people like them but I find them annoying and distracting (as well as pointless).

Coloured signatures are annoying because they occur between passages of text; avatars do not, they are on the side of the text.

Of course, if you don't like the rules, you could always leave rather than making sarcastic comments.

Well smartass, there's no colours allowed in posting, and a .sig appears in a post. So this was rightly pointed out by some of the regulars here.

Zephirus had a blue sig until Lilith put a stop to them.

It was marginally annoying because your eye was automatically drawn to it, rather than to the post itself, purely because it was a different colour to the rest of the site.

I believe that if people are going to draw attention to themselves, let it be by way of the content they post, not the dancing monkeys of animated sigs and avvies and bright and shiny colours.

Having a bunch of 'LOOK AT ME! LOOK AT ME!' shit attached to a post is not cute, its just fucking annoying.

And Zephirus, don't even START playing the fascism card here. Some boards work one way, others work a different way. If you don't like the fact that posting good content is the way to get positive attention around here, then you can bugger off just like everyone else who has skulked off from goth.net.
