I was thinking about this the other day when it was pointed out that I had made a topic that was already started by someone else long before me.
I dont know much about these Board programmes, but have been on others where posters had the ability to delete their own posts.
I dont know if its possible on this forum, but surely the ability to do so would take some of the work load off the mod's/admin?
Just an idea.

I don't think that deletion is really a big deal when one could very easily edit the content of their posts to read "nothing to see here" or "oops, double post, sorry".

Otherwise we'd have people opening threads, disliking the way they were going, and then deleting the whole thing.

True, didnt really think of editing as an option. I guess Im just a neat freak, and I wanted to be able to clean up my messy unecessary posts. :P

Nor did I think of any negative side to users being able to delete their posts.
You may have noticed I dont do a lot of thinking (:

Oh well, I guess I'll just have to be more careful in the future :)

Hey... not a problem. And don't worry about it. Moderators around here usually double as the board's janitors. When we see a mess, we clean it up.

I don't see why you're apologizing / being so self-depricating. You had a valid point, you raised it in a courteous manner in the correct place, and when someone had a different solution that probably works better overall, you listened with an open mind. If everyone was this reasonable we wouldn't need moderators at all :)
