I wonder if there is a way to fight that system.

Eh... do you have uniforms at your place of work? Not much you can do if you have uniforms, is there? But if you don't have uniforms, you should just try to work around it. I'm sure that there is nothing wrong with wearing a nice black/dark coloured suit... or you could write "THE CURE!" or "BAUHAUS!" or "SIOUXSIE and the BANSHEES!" or um... whatever you wanted to on it.

Hm, anyway, about the moderators closing threads: I haven't really noticed any hasty thread closing. They all seem to have good reasons to do so... plus the whole "Topic Closed" note at the end makes me laugh--but maybe that's just me, ;).

I agree that mods close things way too easily... and they are often very hostile doing it, I'm not mad that you closed my thread, but in alot of the closed threads the last mod comment isn't what I would call respectfull. Too many Manson goths have come here and the mods have totaly lost it (no pun intended) and are now attacking everyone?

Maybe I was mean to you because of your post. You asked for something big and easy. How hard is it to google? Seriously. We're not here to spoon feed you. You made a mistake and I pointed it. Fuck subtletly you're not a kid and I am not your mother. I am not here to be nice to you and perhaps if you thought more about what you post you wouldn't have a issue.

Seriously though "close things way too easily" Your thread was over and dead before I commented and closed. Why do you expect the reason we close threads to be respectful when pretty much _all_ of the time we close a thread it's because someones been an idiot? An idiot deserves respect? Yeah right and Saddam Hussein deserves a international pardon.

If you want to keep bitching about this feel free to take it up with me in private message. If you have real reasons why you think it was unfair and you still haven't got the point on why I said what I said then do it there.

Although this board has more closed threads then any other I've seen, I didn't see a whole lot of hostilaty(sp?) I saw only a few end in a flame.

you have to concider that's it's very frusterating when you have a board for discussion of goth music and people start up threads on Manson and <insert Nu-metal band here> and you're trying to show that the sterotypes are false.

hope you understand what I was getting at.

I see your point and I agree to that maybe I shouldn't have
said that you should provide so much informations and urls
and give me everything on a silver plate. But I don't see any
wrong in asking for help and reccomendations on a forum. On
the "idiot" thing it depends on the type of "idiot". If it is a
idiot who keeps flaming and insulting people then of course he
does not deserve respect! But a "idiot" asking a question with
good intentions but is ignorant and has not the knoledge that
you have does deserve at least some respect. I am not
complaining or "bitching" but I was not disrespectfull or
insulting/flaming anyone so I don't think that I deserved the
hot reaction from you!

Christ you whine a lot.

Just trying to give feedback, but apparantly you don't want that

Asking for help and asking us to spoon feed you is two very different things. You got a hot reaction as I explained before because you obviously didn't think about your post and exactly what you were asking people to do. Asking for guidance is asking for a lead in the right direction. You basically asked us to do all the research for you.

Good intentions? In who's eyes? Ignorance is not okay generally. Ignorance is quite dangerous. Ignorance breeds hate and all that negative stuff that you probably bitch about in other people. Racists are ignorant for example. You don't just "deserve" automatic respect. You earn it. Someone with good intentions but is ignorant and doesn't have the knowledge I have? If you can sign up and post on a online forum I would expect you could use a search engine. So what knowledge do I have that you didn't my little ignorant friend? You weren't being ignorant. You were being lazy.
