 Re: Dietary Survey
I'm an omivore, but meat isn't something I eat a lot of (not out of choice, I just can't afford to.) I live off pasta and bread (wholemeal) and vegatable soup. As long as it's cheap and filling I'm happy.

 Re: Dietary Survey
I guess I'd call myself not so strict vegetarian who sometimes thinks about going vegan and sometimes going biological* only.
* Don't know whether this is the proper term, but I mean products coming from farms that are very animal friendly and don't use antibiotics and pesticides.

 Re: Dietary Survey
I'm torn between two choices really, omnivore and lacto-vegetarian... I'm not a vegetarian (yet) but I eat so little meat/fish that if I were to never have it again I wouldn't care. I physically cannot eat eggs anymore, they really cause me pain, and the last time I ate lamb it caused me severe digestive discomfort, too! So I'm an omnivore with lacto-vegetarian leanings So I chose omnivore (for the very rare occasions I do eat meat). If I ever do become a veggie again I would be classed as a Lacto-Su vegetarian (Su vegetarians avoid the "fetid" vegetables in the onion family, like garlic and the others).

I'm not sure, but I think you can change your vote, if you like. EDIT: Yikes! I just noticed that, by adding another category, it wiped out all the previous vote results! I didn't see that one coming! Ah, well. Now everyone gets to recast their vote. -- Nephele

 Re: Dietary Survey
Thanks Nephele!!! I too belong to the omnivore with vegetarian leanings category! And I'm afraid things are going to get worse if not worse...

 Vegetarianism and Goths
Do you find the many Goths are vegetarians? I know I am... Who's with me? My theory is this: Goths seem to have a higher level of awareness and intelligence than your typical mainstreamer; Not that some "normal" people can't be smart, but this seems to often be the case... Now, don't get me wrong, I am not saying that vegetarians are always smarter than meat-eaters; I am simply saying that this is their opinion and they have taken the time to really think about it. (Sorry if this is completely unfathomable...)

Topic merged with Dietary Survey topic. While there are a number of vegetarians here at Goth.net, most of our members (at least, from the sample survey here) appear to be omnivores. -- Nephele Who is still interested in this old survey, if others here care to participate? Some people who voted before will need to vote again, as the original poll results were wiped out when I added another category to the poll.

 Re: Dietary Survey
I am still an omnivore. I love meat. I will always love meat. I did hear this joke/question on tv once, thought it was funny, and I figure I'll share it here: "Are Vegetarians animal lovers or plant haters?" I guess for me it's 50/50. I couldn't kill an animal and eat it, but I have no problems going to the store and picking out some juicy steak...I also love fruits. I' a huge fruit fan. However, I'm not big on veggies. I've never liked them and I doubt I'm going to start now. There are some I like, but over all...I'll take my meats, starches, fruits, and die at the age of 50 from a poor diet. At least I'll be eating what I like. -Midi Who really isn't repentant about her taste palate.

 Re: Dietary Survey
My vote is still Vegan. I have been Vegan for over a year (started late May 2010), and though I had some slip-ups at first, I've made MANY Vegan meals since. Though, my boyfriend is an Omnivore, but he'll usually eat a vegan meal with me, and he makes meals too.
