Lilith,
Just wanted to let you know it was all ironed out. Thank you for you being gentle with me over my somewhat woolly technological knowledge.

I'd just like to add a quick comment about how great it is to have the 'mark all posts as read' option on the new posts page - it's far more convenient than having to float back towards the front page for it.

When actually reading posts, I have found that above the poster's reply and on the bottom of the poster's reply there is a big thick red line. I do not believe this has always been there. It draws ones eye to the line instead of adding a smooth tone so you can read the message without screwing up your eyes, at least, this is my experience. Just curious if this was one of those "get used to it" things or if that's something that could be fixed if you see a need.

I have that same problem when using Opera to read the site. It acts fine on Iexplore, though

I used Internet Explorer as well and it's not red at all. It's more a dull brown like it has been on this site for years (at least through my browser) so it's not very noticeable and fades into the background.

Mikal: I also have the thick red blocks when using Opera, but on Internet Explorer it's no different to how it was before.

Ok, I can no longer see the member rating bar under our avatars (or where ever it was) and it's not there on our profiles, so I can't rate anyone. Has anyone else had this problem? Or has that option been disabled and I'm just being a n00b? When I made my first post in this thread I could see it fine, and although I was posting from my boyfriends computer the first time, I'm still using the same browser as he uses, which is Opera. It's not there if I use Internet Explorer or AOL either. Any suggestions?

We got rid of that feature.

The forum isn't a popularity contest after all. And especially in the case of moderators/admins, you can see a sudden dip in one's rating as soon as some lamer or troll is put in their place, which isn't exactly a "fair" rating.

It was automatically part of the new version install, and subsequently turned off.

Ah right. Thanks for clearing that up Lilith. :) Although I thought it was a nice feature, I have to agree that it wasn't going to be fair, especially (as you pointed out) in the case of trolls being, well, trolls.

Hello, IE is now left-aligning nicely once more after: SHIFT+refresh

However, two mins ago I posted a niggling typo that the board doesn't seem to want me to edit: apparently I don't have permission? Not essential, just aesthetic, really...

I have trouble with editing too. Half the time it says I don't have permission. Forum jump still isn't working either. :(

Forum Jump is fixed. As for the editing, since I've so far not been able to reproduce it, no word on this yet.

My problem that I haven't seen mentioned so far is that when I try and open up a thread in a new tab via scroll wheel click it opens the thread up in a new tab (so far so good) as well as the old one (not so good).

Goth.net's the only site that's done that so far

Using safari 2.0.3, would install firefox but I'm lazy

I am having an issue editing posts prior to 11:00 March 6, 2006. I can edit posts after that date and time.

The information is bum and I can now edit none. Just making sure any data given is correct; I know how horrible troubleshooting can be with poor info.

Another issue I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing: it seems after a certain amount of time on the forum I cannot submit any replies due to a repeated 'cannot connect to server. server is unavailable' generic page. I assumed that it was some issue with the network at work. I close the ikonboard window and reinitiate the link through the home page and I can add replies. I have not tried at home yet.

Strangely enough I can edit this response but not any others.
