As you may have noticed, the forums look a little different right now.
This is because we have upgraded to the latest version of Ikonboard.
This has caused a significant amount of downtime as the data migration had to be done manually, and things such as the skin used for GOTH.NET was not backward compatible.
As you will notice, there are still some things that are not quite how they were, most notably the system icons (including the icons beside each forum in the forum list, the search/members/help buttons, the buttons surrounding each post, and the icons for each messenger type).
Also the post-based icons have all gone, and the emoticons are different. We should be hopefully customizing all of these again in the near future, however for now, you will have to live with the default ikonboard icons until we get around to it.
If you see any errors, please leave a reply or a PM for me.

I do not seem to be able to edit previous posts entered by myself. I receive a no permission to perform that function.

Ah, thank Eldritch for that
Sorry to be bothering you again, but I've just noticed, even though I'm logged in, I'm not included in the active users list, and the little bulb under my name in threads is not lit. I'm not logged in as anonyomous, and I tried logging in and out again, but the forum still indicates I'm offline.

A new feature, so others can vote how good of a poster they think you are.
Its all anonymous (you vote via. the user's profile screen), if it gets abused I will disable it, but we'll see how it works out.

Seems to be ok now - nevermind.

The new features are pretty cool. I think the rating thing would be good to encourage people to become constructive members, rather than trolls, too. Let's hope it works out.

Apologies for the crappy username, when I joined the board I was an unimaginative 13-year-old.

I quite like the new features, and I really like how the important topics are grouped together at the top, seperate from the other topics - I mentioned in another thread that people sometimes miss the pinned topics, but now they are much more obvious. (Well, they are to me :p )
I hope the rating thing works out too, nice idea there.

Edit: Argh new smilies too!

Hmm,
Just a heads up here. At first I thought it might be my browser who was playing a trick on me, so I have emptied cache etc and retried and the problem stands...
When I view the last page in the Swedes-thread and look at Preachers post (to me he is the last person to have posted there) I just see his signature in the post, nothing else. The fishy thing is that if I click the quote-button it quotes everything he has written. But that is the only way I am able to read what he wrote there. Can anyone else try this and see if they get the same problem, or is it just me?
Just thought I would mention it. I am confident that when all changes are done and "adapted" the boards will be dandy as usual

Darn, "back to top" link is gone. Hopefully the new version gives you no problems customizing.
