Hi there, I have been hearing alot of issues with your current software and I have a suggestion. I am on another forum site(macteens.com/forums) and they use Invision Power Board. It is set up pretty much the same way. But how much would it take to swap all of your current stuff over?

Why not ask about said issues and then we can see if we can resolve them.

If we were ever to switch forum software, then it must have a few requirements:
1. It must support PostgreSQL
2. It must be able to convert the existing Ikonboard data.
3. It must be free or able to be purchased outright. Even if it is able to be purchased, I would only consider a commercial option if it had a significantly better feature set.

Invision fails on all counts. So, as I mentioned before, why not tell us what these issues are?

The edit button doesnt always show. this is what i read. i have expericanced the Quote button to not show. I forgot the other's

Editing your own post is only available for a limited time after initial posting. After that your post is 'set' and you cannot edit it again. I believe the time is currently set to 1 hour or so. Possibly 1 day. But in either case, there is a good reason the Edit button would not show any more.

As for the quote button, I'm not sure. I can understand why it would not show up on, say, locked topics - since you can't follow up, there is little point to a quote button. But that is the only circumstance I can imagine.

So far you are the only one to mention such troubles.
