Atom & His Package do a really sweet version of The Dead Milkmen's "Nutrition", and former Dead Milkman (now a Milkman again), Rodney Anonymous and his wife Vienna formed a Gothic Folk band, Burn Witch Burn. They did a version of "All Tomorrow's Parties" using the backing music of Dead Can Dance's "Saltarello". I have an mp3 of that on a disc somewhere.....

I know it's been mentioned before, but Bauhaus' version of "Ziggy Stardust". I have been listening to Bauhaus' version so much, that when David Bowie's version came on my Pandora today, I couldn't help but thing, "Peter Murphy sang that so much better...he has a superior voice!" I mean, yes, I like David Bowie...but if I have to compare the two, I do like Peter Murphy's voice much better!

Enslaved's version of old Zeppelin classic "Immigrant Song" was pretty cool last week in Underground, Cologne...

The cure- love will tear us apart (joy division) even though I prefer JD's ..I love the cure's version but JD's just causes my soul to dance...and I'm not a dancer in the least but inwardly it causes my heart to move...so beautiful...but since this is about covers...the cure's cover has to be my.actual favorite cover of any song not even goth songs
