For a list put together in five minutes, it looks pretty good for representing a good bit of the old-school music like mine (except for Switchblade Symphony). I must say, you have good taste.
Uggh, and upon re-reading my last post, it appears to showcase my need for a thesaurus. ;(

Hmm. I don't have a huge amount, so I'll post my top 5, that okay with everyone? If it isn't, I could add another 10, but it'd either be bordering on everything I've heard, or throwing in semi-goth stuff.
1. The Sisters of Mercy: Vision Thing
2. The Sisters of Mercy: Floodland
3. Bauhaus: Crackle
4. Joy Division: Unknown Pleasures
5. Alien Sex Fiend - The Singles 1985-1993(alright, I copped out again =P)
Also, while Tori isn't "Goth", I reecently heard to Venus and Back which *does* sound a lot more "Goth" than some of her stuff.
It got put in my "Goth, Industrial, and Weird Shit" folder in my mp3 collection =P
Also, I need a proper Siouxsie album. All I have is the best of and some mp3s. Is Juju really the best?
Is it a bit odd Vision Thing being my favourite, when it's a bit on the hard rock/80s "heavy metal" side?

Here's my bit. Sorry if I don't make the full 15 but I'll try.
1. Floodland - The Sisters Of Mercy
2. JuJu - Siouxsie And The Banshees
3. Unknown Pleasures - Joy Division
4. Execution & Elegance - Sex Gang Children
5. Mask - Bauhaus
6. First And Last And Always - The Sisters Of Mercy
7. Until 2003 - Phantasmagoria
8. Serpentine Gallery - Swichblade Symphony
9. Here Cum Germs - Alien Sex Fiend
10. Angst - KMFDM
11. Vision Thing - The Sisters Of Mercy
12. In The Flat Field - Bauhaus
13. Ashes In The Brittle Air - Black Tape For A Blue Girl
14. Hyaena - Siouxsie And The Banshees
15. Closer - Joy Division
Yay, I did it!!!
Another few bands people have been listing, which I wouldn't really consider goth myself;
Dead Can Dance (Into The Labyrinth), Einsturzende Neubauten (Strategies Against Architecture 80-83)

That really depends on who you ask, as no two studio albums really have the same style when it comes to Siouxsie and the Banshees. If you ask me, though, I most definitely would place Juju as #1 (followed closely by Tinderbox and Kaleidoscope). It has some of their spookiest and gloomiest songs ever, especially Night Shift and Voodoo Dolly. It certainly captures the Banshees in their gothiest moment, which is one reason why so many here consider it one of the 'essential' goth albums.
I was also rather disappointed with their Best of album, which turned out to not be their best at all, but just a lame singles collection (as if they needed another singles collection in the first place), and Dizzy didn't make up for the disappointment. You're just not going to know the scope and power of the Banshees if you only listen to their singles. In my opinion, their best material is actually found as album-exclusive tracks and a few B-sides (speaking of which, their B-sides collection, Down-side Up, is finally due out in less than a month). While there are still some decent singles out there, they certainly weren't the band's forté. So... chop, chop! Time for you to start collecting! (:

Well because being in "Australias most isolated city" Perth - which being isolated is true in some respects but also bullshit - I haven't aquired as many goth albums as I would like to. I haven't taken the time to sit down and figure out what I want to order from overseas yet. So, my favourites from what I have are (in order of my favourite at this very moment)
1.Bauhaus - The Sky's Gone Out
2.Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds - Abbatior Blues/The Lyre of Orpheus
3.Joy Division - Closer
4.Sisters of Mercy - Floodlands
5.Clan of Xymox - Notes From The Underground
6.Christian Death - Only Theatre of Pain
7.The Cure - Pornography
8.Bauhaus - Gotham
9.Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds - Your Funeral My Trial
10.Sisters of Mercy - Floodlands
11.Joy Division - Substance
12.Dead Can Dance - Into The Labyrinth
13.Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures
14.The Cure - The Cure
15.Interpol - Antics (goth? yes, no?)(I don't actually own this yet, but what I hear I love)
Well I wasn't expecting to reach fifteen. There you go.

Yes, Stabbing Westward. Their album 'Darkest Days' is very industrial with depressing/angry lyrics. You should check them out if your an industrial lover.
and the mounteback, Interpol is punk. Not the Power-pop 'punk' that you see on mtv, but the real punk ( think ramones, sex pistols ect ) only they are newer.

Ah okay then, if you say so. I still like em lots. I'll just take them off the list. Or people can disregard it.
and Pyrodragon1, if you lived here in Perth, I'd burn you copies of what I've got because I might be getting close to buying out whats left of gothic music in Perth. Then again I could make my own heh.
