While grunge did yield a handful of gems, including the first couple of Alice in Chains and Soundgarden discs, as well as the Melvins, I really never appreciated them and their doomy Black Sabbath influence until much later after their popularity died down.

I'd always held Nirvana, Hole, and the grunge scene responsible for the whole "being a lazy, weed-smoking, high school drop out is cool" aesthetic of the nineties.
Grunge was basically taking stoner rock, adding the stripped-down anti-material aesthetics of punk, and topping it off with 90s alternative rock commercial appeal.

Rebellious, I guess, but not the kind of "rebellious" I respect. I respect those who rebel against society by adopting their own ideology and being the change they want to see, not by being a lazy cop-out who does fuck all with their lives.....

Honestly the one goth band i hate is Sisters of Mercy, to me they sound like every other 80's band and are boring, plus non dark or creepy. It also lacks the beauty of bands like Bauhaus, The Cure, and Christian Death. ICP does suck also

I actually didn't like christian death myself (*gasp*), to be perfectly honest. There was just something about them that wasn't my cup of tea, and I generally like Deathrock (I love 45 Grave, like Alien Sex Fiend too but need to hear more of ASF other than Curse). I don't hate Christian Death, I just can't get into their music. I loved Sisters however.

As for the Nirvana discussion, I grew up listening to the grunge music, and liked many of the albums released during the era. I though the Soundgardens, Superunknown was totally overrated however as much as I liked it.


Another band I hate is Brokencyde, dunno if anyone has mentioned them (for some reason I thought someone did and I responded, meh, whatever if that happened this should show how much I don't like them). They're bad enough that I roll my eyes every time I hear 'em

There is Russian pop-rock group called "Ranetki". I hate it) Happily they are not widely known abroad so all the world virtually doesn't know them. It make me glad.

Well, pretty much EVERY modern day pop/ R&B band.

But if we're sticking with the good genres, and its just bands we don't like, all the bands I know, I do like.

I like Sisters, just find them overrated and overshadowed by many other similar, but better bands.
I know Eldrich is considered by many, a vocal pioneer, but others have perfected what he's tried to do.

First and Last and Always was a great album nonetheless

The Saturdays, and any of the modern R&B junk bands that people call "popular". Their songs have virtually no tune, no soul and the bands themselves lack the most important thing: a lead singer.

I think you could sum them up best as manufactured crap. Although it seems to have an audience

I hate Evanescence, that's probably a good place to start, they've always been bloody awful, and their new song sounds like a rip-off of Nightwish. I also hate Nightwish (et all).
I hate Mindless Self Indulgence and The Birthday Massacre. If Tripp pants made music, it would sound like those bands, I swear it.

But above all things, I hate Coldplay.
