 Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan
I thought someone would have beat me to this by now.
I saw it on the news while I was getting ready for school this morning and had to sit down for a minute. I didn't think I could see anything more horrifying since Katrina and other tsunamis around the world. I'm watching the world news right now for updates. It's gone through Hawaii and coming to California. They're also showing vidoes from people while it was happening. I can't imagine being in that and feel for those people and people here who have families there, not knowing if they're dead or alive.
My jaw is just dropping in horror and awe; and a year after the trajedy in Hati. It's all just so sad.

Re: Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan
I've not seen the news all week, and only heard about this a few hours ago when my Mum told me (after she heard it from friends).
All of those poor people... so sad. I'm waiting for all the more extreme Christian people on my Facebook to start banging on about "the end times are coming"... oh joy!

All's well here in Osaka, but the people in the North have it pretty badly.
My main worry is the nuclear reactor in Fukushima!!!

I really feel for the plight of the people of Japan at this awful time, but its a job keeping my inner bastard from making Godzilla references. Blackly, black humor is my downfall.

Hmmm... You haven't felt the strong, strong temptation to post a photo of the "Cleggzilla" poster which has appeared in Sheffield with extremely unfortunate timing. I haven't posted it out of respect for the lost souls.

Re: Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan
It seems to be one of the more horrific disasters in recent time, although this may just be due to the amount of recording devices owned by the general populace.
Either way.... fuck. Nature is mean sometimes.

Keeping everyone else in my thoughts. The news videos have been frightening. And, this tsunami is VERY close to the date of last year's tsunami concerns. -- Nephele

Or the 2012ers saying "OMGZ the mayans were so right, see!". People love their apocalyptic stories, secular, christian or otherwise. To me it looks like the Rim of Fire in the Pacific is acting up, and my guess is that, sadly this is only the beginning of these disastors.

Re: Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan
I seen Sophia post about this on facebook. I haven't seen the news or anything so this is really the first I'm hearing about this. It sounds awful, and terribly saddening. And to echo everyone who posted before me, I am glad to here all is well with you and yours Centurion!

Re: Earthquake and Tsunami in Japan
When I first heard about the tsunami, I thought it wasn't as bad as it really was...then I saw footage of what the water did on the news. I feel very bad for the people in Japan and am horrified by what has happened. I will most definitely keep the people of Japan in my thoughts. I'm glad you're all right, Centurion!
