Greetings everyone! Well... I've been looking for a site/forum where I can connect with some fellow dark souls, and in an age where the gothic sub-culture (sadly) seems to be dwindling down, this site seems to be quite active with interesting topics of discussion.

I live in the Toronto area, and have actually been into goth scene for a good while now. Probably around 15 years. Time sure flies, indeed. Sometimes I wish it didn't though because I seem to hate getting older, lol.

A few things about me/general interests: parapsychology, dreams, the unknown/life's mysteries, metaphysics. I tend to appreciate the calming beauty of nature's darker settings. Anything from a snow-covered forest to a rainy day, or stroll under a full moon night. I like to keep fit and work out, and love dancing to some good music when I hit a club or concert. I also like artwork, paintings, and graphic novels (as you can probably tell by my Sandman avatar and I'm also a big fan of horror, sci-fi, foreign and indie films/tv shows.

As for music, I'm into dark/gothic music of all kinds whether its black metal, doom, goth metal, industrial, darkwave, neo-folk, neo-classical, dark ambient, experimental, etc. Listing bands would take forever, lol, but a few favorites amongst the various genres include Theatre Of Tragedy, Paradise Lost, Katatonia, Anathema, Skepticism, The 3rd And The Mortal, Sisters Of Mercy, Frontline Assembly, Xymox, Lycia, Arcana, Tenhi, Triarii, Arditi, Raison D'Etre, Atrium Carceri... lots of good stuff!

Amnesia Strange: So... You are invisible, huh... I know that feeling all to well. Ever since I was young... I was never noticed too much... and as I progress on with life, the trend escalates. I don't really have any friends (save for two best friends and my bro) so I am almost always alone. But in actuality... we aren't alone, my friend.

Well I wouldn't exactly call myself a goth it often is the label people tend to use. Though over the past few years I find my self getting more into the Industrial/Goth subculture. So stumbled onto this site and started an account.

As for what I'm into: Music, comics, video games, 80/90s cartoons and the martial art Sambo. I also collect various things such as movie posters, action figures and cd's. Other then that only thing I can think if is the fact that I have a couple Tarantulas. A Mexican Red Knee and a Chilean Rose Hair Tarantula.

Currently I'm living in the Nashville ares of TN. But, I will be moving back to my home state of Colorado in the next couple of months.

I'm not a sort of a person to pay too much attention to "fitting to the label", but since I obviously share lots of characteristics with goths I assume I'll fit in here

So...little bit about me:

I live in beautiful county of Yorkshire in UK, near Yorkshire Moors and infamous setting of Bram Stocker's Dracula movie - Whitby (who remembers that semi-shattered abbey?). I'm a huge fan of horror movies and I am not really selective to the class of movie I watch. In fact, I have a fondness for "B-class" zombie stuff, since I'm absolutely terrified of zombies and living next to a very old graveyard doesn't help me sleep at night

I am not picky when it comes to music, anything will pass as long as tune will stick in my head, so I listen to everything and anything. Including famous bands like KISS, Within Temptation, Nightwish or Dimmu Borgir and less well-known like Theatres Des Vampires, Kamelot (surprisingly small number of people know about them...), Sopor Aeternus. I am also very fond of Burzum (through Varg's project is rather new love to me), old-time favourite The 69 Eyes, Type O Negative and my beloved Loreena Mckennit.

I am also not afraid to admit to being a comic-fan and my obsession with Requiem Vampire Knight.

Hey, I'm just a gay gothic musician trying to work his way through the world (isn't going too well so far... oh well.) I live in a desert in a hic town in the middle of nowhere. I enjoy all music (mostly EBM, ambient and metal though), astronomy (not to be confused with astrology), speculative fiction (mainly science fiction), cartoons, some comics (especially Johnny the Homicidal Maniac XD) and some video-games. I also enjoy conversation, be it humorous, scientific, metaphysical or just plain ol' conversing.

Not gonna go into what kind of goth (I guess I could be called a cybergoth lol don't consider myself one though), but whatever kind I am, I have been one for about four years, being nineteen at the moment.

I'm Marius, though I use my intials AMEF as username. I'm 22 years old and I live in Mexico City. I have been kind of in love with the gothic scene since I was around 14 years old even if my daily looks don't suggest it. I'm majoring in drawing and painting at university and I *try* to be a part time writer. I'm a die-hard lover of tattoos (in fact I'm getting my sixth tattoo tomorrow afternoon). As for music, I'm a hardcore front-row fan of Lacrimosa, though I listen to other darkwave bands, just a little bit of metal, classical music ever since I was a little child, and I have a secret love towards texan outlaw country.
