My high skool...no real goths except me that I can find. Just nu-metal people everywhere. It sucks horribly. And add that to the fact that my friends in other areas are not in my classes... Sorry, I had to complain to someone, and you people seem to be most tolerant. To read on some of the more positive things that happened today, read my deadjournal. My ID is the same as my e-mail.

I know exactly how you feel. Nobody at my school is goth. There are a few people who dress in a lot of black, but they are all nu-metal junkies. All the teachers consider them goths...no wonder we have a bad reputation. One of my main frustrations right now is a group of idiot punks(not that all punks are idiots-just this particular group) They want to "recruit" me, so to speak, just because of a comment that I made about preps...arrrgh! Anyway, hang in there.

oh, and if I see another hot topic shirt that says "Aint nothing but a goth thing", I might do something rash :S

First of all, sorry. Yeah and second of all.. I don't even know if there are goths at my school or not. Today we got our schedules and whatnot and I was probally the only person that was wearing even a LITTLE black. Thas not a good sighn. Wait, I DID see a blonde chick with skin tight PLAID pants and a sparkalie shirt that said "punk".. whoohoo can't wait to be her friend. (note the sarcasm, people)
Hmm I had something else to say but I forgot it. Ah well.

i have to go back to school in a week.. i'm getting overly depressed about it. My mom keeps commenting on how "pouty" i am.. oh well..
there arent many cool people in my school either. Most of the people that maybe could be classified as "goth" by some really ignorant people, wear baggy jeans and black marilyn manson t-shirts. They're all the idiot-drop-outs-whats-2-plus-2 type. It's sad.. oh well, its just high school right?
sad sad sad, but .. what can you do..

Look at it on the brighter side... you people all at least have an online support network of goths/gothy people. Which is a hell of a lot more than I had going through highschool.

That's a pretty good point,Lilith. Now if we can just become less and less associated with nu-metal,I think we might just have a chance at partial sanity.

ahh starting high school.. good luck with that
since i started high school my mental health has been slowly deteriorating. After 4 years of it so far, and one more to go (we go for 5 years in Ontario) I think im going to go insane.
It is a good point that at least we have online support and etc, but the internet just isn't the same as interacting with people in the flesh on a day to day basis.. ya know? It's easier to have online stuff, but it's still hard when you dont get along with the people that you have to sit beside in your classes or whatever.. ???
im just getting overly depressed about going back to school though i think, i've had way too much of that place!

Now now... remember people you CAN make friends with others even if they aren't goth. Remember not to judge people on appearances sake, I'm sure you'll find some suitably intelligent peole out there among the masses. When I was in HS (dear gods am I telling one of those back in the day stories? I'm too young for this... ahem sorry, anyway now where was I...) there were hardly any goths in school but I still had friends among the more tolerant and highly intelligent people. Most of them were quite quirky and eccentric too. Ah, they were fun people to be around. In any case, don't despair! HS can only last so long anyhow...

The worst part is that when you're stuck with having to go to school it takes up so much time in your life. When school is a dominant aspect and the enviroment is so ...
ugh. words fail me. =:)
i think lillie_nyte MAY have made a point. But i still find that at school there are a hell of a lot of people who don't know what i'm about and certainly don't understand me. and so sometimes i wish there was someone a little more like me. but i haven't found anyone as yet. my "quirky and eccentric" friends all left because they got fed up themselves. and with them gone it got worse. (sob).
now im going before i get whiney!

Went to freshman registration today.....found out school is sexist (sp?) The girls get free locks for p.e. (not like more of them use them) while the guys have to pay for a lock. Its not that big of a deal its just that for years i have suffered through teachers peraching for equality amoung boys and girls but heres the school saying that girls get free stuff woop de do. $5 is no problem for a lock.... just nit picking.... i was gonna write the school but my mom doesn't want me to get a reputation. Least not right now =:)
I've been to the school once and already got in trouble. Me and a friend used the elevator which is for handicap people. Oh well, the buttons were tempting. Even though i could run down the stairs in the time it took the elevator to get to the top.

I haven't gone back yet; I go to choose my courses tomorrow (heavens forbid!).. And I know a few goth people in my grade, though we don't necessarily get along anyway.

yeah I start my senior year of HS on tuesday....I am definately not looking foreward to being called a freak for another year. All my friends have graduated in the past 3 years so I have no one left...oh well I'll just hang out in my 9th grade English teacher's room for studyhalls and stuff.....again (he's really cool we hang out and talk about gothic literature and shakespeare) I think he retires this year. At least there's one perk I start taking computer programming at GCC from 1-4...(YAY COLLEGE) I already have taken 2 french courses there. I can't wait till I graduate.
