Re: Ask a fellow Gnet member a question!
ooh someone asked me a question! Been keeping busy playing Medieval Sims, and trying to keep warm, finally getting wintery here and I hate the cold. I am going to be a great grandmother in about 2 weeks, (C section) its a boy and I am really not prepared to be that old.
i was one of the first members, being invited by Blood Rose who had been a fellow devotee of the goth site that shall not be named. We were kicked out at the same time and somehow she became involved with Prez and Lillith when they set up this site, I got invited. been modding ......not sure how long....ever since Prez asked me I guess.
shadow crow, nyarlathotep, tragic clown, starving student, were some of the first goth.netters. as a matter of fact ShadowCrow used to be misantropica on the other site....oh and deadly nightshade too, cant forget him...and of course Archannus Who I miss dearly and havent heard from in years..Tiana and her Knife was here for a while but I dont know what happened to her over the years.
Its been like 12 years since I met all these people, I still love them all

What inspired your username? It's a song by Massive Attack, at the time of joining the site I was obsessed with their album "Mezzanine", and I thought that song made the best username. I use it almost everywhere online now.

WolfMammy, SisterSandy, Spidey, Midi and Minty What is your happiest moment?
Spidey: How do you think you would handle living in a world where everyone knew when they were going to die, down to the day and threw a party for the last day of life. What would you like yours to be like? Who would you invite? What things would you hope they would say? Basically everything.

Philosophically speaking, I think I would handle it rather well as I have no real fear of death. I am sure I would be sad as the days of my friends and family came to an end and I would make sure they had everything they wanted when it came down to their "death party". For mine, it would be a drunken Irish bash since, as it would be my last day/night on Earth, I would have no fear of a massive hangover the next morning. I would invite literally everyone I have ever known be it IRL or Online and hope that they would perchance meet someone with whom to share a laugh. As for saying anything, I hope everyone would be honest and give me a chance to atone for any wrongs I may have done, but hopefully there would be more positive things to say than negative. Oh, and there will be cake and Karaoke. ArcAngel Where have you been, globally speaking? Visit anyplace you just can't wait to go back to? ~spidey

Re: Ask a fellow Gnet member a question!
happiest moment?
hmm
first one is way too personal really to share online.
second one is when my first grandchild was born, his mom had toxemia and he was so small we thought they weren't going to make it.
Death has been on my mind lately. Being the oldest here, I think that makes sense. I am not afraid to die, but knowing how I would die would be a relief. I have a real anxiety about dying in a fire for some reason. i would say goodby to my children and grandchildren, my friends and then be alone with my husband when it happened.
I want to be in one great big mosh pit before I die so gotta have rammstein and sabbath provide some music and have a good old time. you are all invited.

I like Manic Panic, but there's no-where around here that sells it (at least none I'm aware of), and I can't afford it with shipping. I buy a lot by Rimmel London, cos it's a good value for the price, and I also give a lot of money to L.A. Splash and Nyx. On the eyes, I like a lot of dark purple on the lids, eye glitter (LA Splash makes a glitter I just love), and thick black mascara, sometimes enhanced with individual falsies and underlashes. On the lips, I stick with a clear gloss, unless I'm specifically doing a drag queen night (maybe it's weird, but I tend to think most men can't pull off lip colour, except in drag --lipstick and facial hair is a no-no, in my book, and even black lipstick tends to look a little too effete, for my comfort --except, of course, when that's my goal). Nails? I do black more often than bare, but I also have a few purples, chrome silver, and this China Glaze brand glittery one called "Some Like It Haute", that's kind of a grey smoke with glitter.

Re: Ask a fellow Gnet member a question!
Hi Nephele! The only instrument I really "play" is guitar, which I've been playing for 40 years in various bands. The whole thing just got louder and louder until it was silly. The bass guitar has it's own techniques and I play it as well. At one point I was in an industrial band (in 1982) which gave rise to tape decks, over-driven Casios, feed-back loops and other gadgetry, none of which I'd say were instruments as we know them as there are no methods or any sort of practice involved. I tried baroque recorder and modern violin, which made me stick with guitar. In the software studio environment, there are limitless things to program and play, so even though I'm not a drummer, I learned how to program the sounds in software. It may have been easier to learn actual drums. 3 years ago I started on renaissance lute. I'm mainly self-taught, and plan to get something out on youtube this fall. As for a favorite, it's hard to say. There's nothing like the sound of double Humbuckers through a full Marshall stack. There's nothing like the sound of an instrument made by hand and played with the fingers. (A lute teacher I had in a seminar plays his lute live through a Marshall combo amp!) I have to say, though, it seems like the Age Of Loud might be in the past for me so I've been spending a lot of time with a lute. I'm thankful, actually. And that was a very nice question. Thank-you! I have a question for FairyInBoots!
What's your favorite dessert, and what flavour of said dessert?
HopelessRomantic: Who is your favorite person ever and what makes them so special?

Re: Ask a fellow Gnet member a question!
Lachry, for some reason I pictured you having a collection of various medieval musical instruments. I remember that YouTube link you gave me a year ago of you playing the lute, and your music was beautiful.
@ Agent Bat: If extraterrestrials transported themselves into your living room and asked if you would return with them to their home planet so that they might learn from you, and in exchange they would show you the wonders of the universe... Would you agree to go – or would you be suspicious and refuse?
