 Death By Boots..?
So I was in the car with my mother all of the sudden she says "hey you wanna drive home?" and of course i jumped at the opportunity and said "heck yeah!" It want until I was on the road till I found out that my platform boots and the gas petal dont get along. now everytime my mother lets me drive i have to take my boot off (and before anyone brings this up, I am a very good driver by the way) I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem? or is it just me?

I have a friend who drives in either socks or new rocks. Can't seem to manage anything in between.

What you need is something like this. Collapses for driving, then snaps back into position for walking.

 Re: Death By Boots..?
Whenever I drive with thick heels on, I just pull the seat back and sit as straight as possible. >_>

Yeah that happens me a lot, I have to bring driving shoes as the thick soles of combat boots tends to soften the feeling of the pedals and you end up flooring it accidentally!

 Re: Death By Boots..?
It is interesting though how much further forward the seat has to go to drive in normal shoes once you've gotten used to driving in boots....
I went to drive in my car that was adjusted for my more usual attire while wearing skate shoes, and found the seat literally far enough back that I couldn't get the clutch in all the way!

 Re: Death By Boots..?
I haven't had this problem before. My car's pedals are already really responsive, so I'm already pretty cautious about how much pressure I apply to each. Whenever I'm wearing my combat boots, I know I need to dial it down a bit more even. Takes time and practice.

 Re: Death By Boots..?
My big boots actually help me a lot, since my leg inseam is only 27 inches! I don't have to pull the car seat forward as much, and I'm not sitting right on top of the air bag. Plus, when I swing my leg out after I've parked, people tend to stare at my feet.

 Re: Death By Boots..?
I wear heels a lot (not a super-thick sole, but still difficult to drive in, nonetheless), so driving with them on is a pain, and driving bare/sockfoot isn't an option.
