Pyshcological: It is, plain and simply, according to the DSM-IV a mental disorder that is akin to rape but on a much deeper, psychological level in which the person wants to control their sexual partner in every way possible and a dead person gives that that control. It can also be in lesser forms and for other reasons such as deep rooted love for another. It can also be seen in various forms in many ways. I think it really depends on your definition of necrophilia though.

Not in the way the story describes. The vast majority of nerc cases involve [living] guys penetrating a corpse. Exterior male genitalia on a corpse is useless, it cannot get "erect" from rigor mortis and would need some sort of hydrolic pump circulating some sort of fluid through that part of the anatomy to get it to "do" anything. The pressure would have to be comparable to what goes on in there for the living [this isn't something that happens in the process of embalming when the circulatory system is drained and then pumped full of chemicals].

PMSR doesn't even try to cause erections. They basically use a mortuary cattle prod to cause a forced ejaculation [that then gets collected & brought back to a clinic to be frozen] through muscle spasms. The penile tissue stays flaccid because erections require blood to fill it up like a water balloon [that's why they treat ED with viagra which alters the circulatory system temporarily].
