Because we give flexibility, individual ideals are made to fix to your desires. This is what makes Goth so Beautiful, is this liberty that I have I'm NOT! I'm totally judgemental of other Goths, I'm totally not flexible blah blah blah, and I know I'm not the only one. The Goth community in my experience is exactly the same as any other community- why do you think we joke about having our 'Goth cards' revoked. Goths in particular have a reputation for being extreamly bitchy towards others - other Goths included. Thats without mentioning all the infighting between the different subgroups e.g. (Gross generalisations here!) Victorian Goths think that CyberGoths are not real Goths, Rivetheads think that RomantiGoths are effeminate to say the least- I could go on. (snark, snark ) It's my personal opinion that society is the same everywhere and everywhen and it's not something thats gonna change so I don't sweat it- just go with the flow (and dance to my own groove thang ..hehe!) In Florida, I never had this problem (I mean yes some of us are a little distrustful of others, myself included, because of posers) but for the most part I never had it that bad. And trust me Miami, Ft lauderdale, Tampa, Orlando and Jacksonville all have very big and good goth scenes. but I do see the point when they say that. Because Cybergoths are more ravers then goth, but they are still goths, and dont get me wrong, the Victorian goths are far from the original "old bat" of the Cure and Siouxsie and the Banshees.. So at the end one can not judge the other without looking like a fool Just live and let live, i say... Accept people for who they are, thats what my father taught me...

 Re: A Simple Philosophical Question
The overly judgmental attitude is normally one that goes along with being a club kid and trying to 'out do' every other Goth there. I'm not so insecure that I have to judge other Goths. I may rib people that I know about their musical selections or say something playful about mixing this with that in their wardrobe, but it's never anything meant to hurt or just to be cruel. My musical tastes may be superior to other people's, but I don't rub it in their faces. (I kid!)

 Re: A Simple Philosophical Question
You could post that favorite word with an explanation here or provide translations here. 'Cause I have no idea what it means.

 Re: A Simple Philosophical Question
SirVigil, I found it, thanks!! I really had no idea. It reminded me vaguely of assasin (because of the spelling), but that made no sense.
