 Re: Thoughts and Sharing Thread
Upset. Two days ago it seemed like everything was finally going right, only to be set back again. I'm disappointed I didn't get the job, but angry that the person who interviewed me wasn't the one who decided to actually recruit an interviewee. It begs the question: What was the point in me going to an interview if the interview itself was irrelevant anyway? There was no chance in a 20 year old with a year's worth of salesman experience and who has just finished a business course getting a job over someone more experienced on paper. I thought that's what an interview was anyway, to see if the candidate is a correct fit beyond the experience they have.
I'm used to rejection, and I'll get over it, but I'm just fucking mad bro.

GothicBfly: I really hope everything turns out well with your step-daughter and son... I don't really know anything about being a parent, so I can't really give advice...even though I really wish I can do something to help with everything... You have my best wishes and hopes. Everything will turn out well.
Orlok: I hope everything goes well with your eye exam and that everything is alright with your eyes. It would pain me to see a friend with a bad eye complication... You have my best wishes and hopes, too, my good friend. I'm sure everything will turn out fine.

Hugs to everyone that needs them. Sounds like some of you have been having a rough time lately.
Got my MRI tonight. That should go fine. Still waiting to hear about my final grade in my networking class. Hoping I still have my A in that class.

 Re: Thoughts and Sharing Thread
Been to uni with my midnight blue hair first tim today now, people loved it, and I love it too. After some friend of my mum told my mum taht I should ahve gotten a tatoo instead of dyed my hair as a tatoo can be hidden, but my hair can't. I don't normally have it too well with my mum (but it's gotten better) and she stood up to that person and said "she doesn't do drugs, she doesn't smoke, she doesn't drink, who cares about the hair?" The woman was still concerened about that rebellious girl...some people are weird, I wasn't even gothed up and she's gone mad. thinking about it, i would have loved to see her face if I came all gothed up. Hope things are getting better for everyone, they certainly are for me.

 Re: Thoughts and Sharing Thread
Thanks Necro. *hugs back* To be honest I'm a bit nervous about going under. I mean, I've done it before (when my lung collapsed), but still. I'll keep all of you posted as soon as I know more!

 Re: Thoughts and Sharing Thread
Hip replacements? That sucks, I'm sorry Dragonwings.I just applied for a data entry job that potentially allows me to work from home. There is a part-time and full-time option. If I get this as a part-time position, I'll probably stay at my parents' house and try to save as much money as possible + start going over to Vancouver casually. If full-time, I'm moving to Vancouver and seeing if I can do at least 80% of my work from my apartment. I figure with the wage being at least $17/hr, I can if nothing else save on the commuting time between home and work. Besides, I'd get to throw on " Temple of Love" as I work! I tell ya, opportunities are just coming and coming!

Yay for hugs! I like hugs. Good luck with everything orlok! I hope you get the choice you really want. Being able to play Temple of Love would be awesome though.

I'll keep all of you posted as soon as I know more! Yes, please do keep us posted! I understand your apprehension about going under. I haven't been under anesthesia in my life yet, but all 90 pounds of me gets just as nervous thinking about it, since I don't weigh much and they would need to be careful about how much anesthesia they apply. Since you've done it before, you'll be absolutely fine.

 Re: Thoughts and Sharing Thread
Thanks again. I hope that you're right. It should go fine. I just don't know how long I'll have to wait to get the surgery. Hopefully not too long!

 Re: Thoughts and Sharing Thread
Good luck, Dragon- you are in my thoughts!
---
As for me- I am evermore swearing off tongue barbells. Let me explain:
Earlier, the ball for my barbell in my tongue fell off and I couldn't find it. Nor could I find a spare and no only do I not have the extra money for a barbell, but everyone was closed and I wouldn't be able to get one tomorrow. I heal pretty quickly so I was freaking out big time. It was like withdraw for body piercings.
Anyway, because I was utterly desperate, I did something I hadn't ever thought about in all the years I've had my tongue pierced ( along with many, many, many other piercings) - a ring! I feel like such an idiot for not thinking of it sooner. A serious idiot, because I am such a piercing fanatic. But when I realized "oh, shit, I can put in my spare lip ring" it was on! It was a small captive ring (black, of course). Instead of adding the ball, I just used pliers to bring the ends together. I'm in love. Sheer love. It looks so amazing and so fucking incredible, I am super mad I haven't done this sooner. No more barbells for me tongue! Oh the possibilities!
