 Re: Thoughts and Sharing Thread
Some ass-hole dumped an old dresser in my backyard via the alley and the fact that there's no fencing here. I'm hoping the wood is in good enough condition to do something with, or I might just take it to the yard of the condemned house next door.

 Re: Thoughts and Sharing Thread
So last week, i bought a box set containing 50 terrible horror movies (the set is titled Pure Terror). Man, it has some pretty bad, and i mean BAD, movies, but they have a certain flare to them that makes them more fun than scary. I seem to only dig low budget films in the horror genre. Makes me wonder if something is wrong with me Though, i must admit, so far the Pure Terror box set isn't as good as the Horror Classics box set (which is along the same vein and released by the same company, it has low budget films. But the Horror Classics actually had some great films, such as Nosferatu, Carnival of Souls, and Night of the Living Dead)

I haven't watched them all yet, but there are some real low-budget gems in there.

 Re: Thoughts and Sharing Thread
Some friends that went in to watch the parade tell me it had a steampunk theme this year, I'm curious to see pictures later.

I'll give ya some I found on youtube of films I've seen so far from the Pure Terror box set (I've only seen 4 of the 50 films): Double Exposure this one wasn't THAT bad actually, a little boring at times, but not bad The Dungeon of Harrow This video is the first two minutes of the film. This one had a decent plot (guy gets stranded on an island owned by a sadistic Count, but I may be able to have better filming and acting if I used the camera on my phone and rounded up some random fellow college students I couldn't find decent videos for Blood Sabbath (1972) or Crucible of Horror (aka The Corpse)(1970) When it comes to Blood Sabbath, I couldn't finish watching it (I stopped when the guy says he loves/needs this one girl, only after knowing her for 10 minutes, and making out with her for about half the time he knew her). Crucible of Horror I had playing while I was doing homework, so I have no adequate opinion on it. LegendGirl wrote: I love the Horror Classics boxed set! There were actually some very good movies in the Horror Classics set

Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck.
Just got back from taking my GRE. I have mixed feelings as I didn't do so hot on my verbal portion, but I kicked ass on the math portion. Hopefully they even out enough for me to still get into Grad School.
~spidey, who's glad to be done with studying

If memory serves, part of what aided Carnival of Souls' cult status was the fact that it was accidentally released into public domain, so reprints and screenings didn't have to be paid for.

 Re: Thoughts and Sharing Thread
My right foot's sore because I walked close to 6-8 km today. I can usually go the distance, but I'm trying to change my stride so that I don't walk on the balls of my feet as much. I'm also trying to put more confidence in my step. Lemme explain - because of my condition, I without realizing it developed a different way of walking that was easier than the standard method. I used to half-prance around most of the time - and while I have all this free time in the world aka the joys of unemployment, I'm focusing on bettering myself. Now that I'm not a child anymore, my legs and feet are strong enough for me to walk properly so I'm trying to. Or maybe my calluses are getting so big that I'm walking on them. Specifically, maybe a callus is developing between my toes. Where some people walk on sunshine; I walk on calluses

 Re: Thoughts and Sharing Thread
I will never go into the city again on St. Patrick's Day. Too many people, too many loud drunks. Worst of all, on the way home I think our train hit someone on the tracks. We were stopped for an hour, and the police came with cadaver dogs. I didn't see anything from my train window, but I guess it will be on the news tonight.
A bunch of fuckin' drunk girls on the train were laughing about it like it was a big joke. Maybe someday somebody they know will wind up under train wheels, and if they're drunk enough they can laugh about that, too.

 Re: Thoughts and Sharing Thread
I lost my phone again. it may sound like no big deal but i have a track record of loosing valuable electronics and to make matters worse i just fixed that darn phone. i am so pissed off. I got my wig in the mail today and it looks great. and my best friend's grandma is dying. I ate half a dark chocolate cake with blueberries on top. I had to wash the dogs today. So, i don't know how I'm feeling, I just want to take a nap, perhaps have a cookie or something healthy.
