I almost choked on my coffee reading that!

Oh! I just got a digital camera! I'm so happy! And a working TV. Now I get to finish my .Hack// games.... Yay!

I applied to two more jobs today - one's at a Tim Hortons, another's at a call centre. The latter's the one with the opening, but I thought I'd just pass my resume along to both parties.


Tim Horton's is one of the laaast places I'd want to work at, but at this point, money is awesome and I'm one step closer to having my own Goth Talk. I mean, I even live in a shit-stain of a town and everything!

I'm an only child, so no douchey sibling is going to run in and interrupt

I have my GRE test on Saturday, and I feel like I am going to puke. Cannot wait for it to be over and done with and in the hands of the Grad Committee.

Also, my ex-bff of 20 years just noticed I defriended her on Facebook. I dropped her 3 months ago. Can anyone guess why I dropped her?

And on a super awesome note, I am getting hitched! My baby-daddy and I decided we're going to tie the knot in Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada! at the end of the month and I couldn't be more excited!

Well, so ends my first full dress goth day out. There is no real scene out here so instead I'm going out to "be seen". Still an undercover goth until I can become comfortable and confident in my self expression, so I walked out the door at home and changed in the local Tim hortons a la superman/clark kent. Man in black enters and stereotype goth exits with a coffee, yum. Mind you my full goth is just a trench coat at this point. Either way docs, trench coat, black pants and button down shirt with longer brushed back hair makes a strong err.. suggestion.

Not much happened, which is good, helped me gain some selfconfidence. I was really self conscious at first, but damn it felt so good. Most people paid no attention, a couple people were stunned, including the desk person at my support group. He knows me quite well but he stared when I came in, I talked but he didn't respond for a few seconds, staring and drooling (well sort of). One woman couldn't stop staring, and she kept walking in the direction she was looking, like a cruise missile. I sidestepped at the last minute and all was well. One other fellow smiled from ear to ear and nodded slowly as I walked by, wish I knew what he was thinking.

Anyhoo, had to post that I got nobody else to tell the story to. I hope nobody minds.

You'll get used to things. It'll get easier. Or if nothing else, you'll become numb to their stares, glares, and comments.

I understand how you felt. I've never gone out in full goth before (not because of shyness, though, but because of a lack of moolah for the truly glamed-up gothed-out look I'm going for). But I have worn outrageous outfits that made people look at me and go, "wtf is this chick wearing?!". I used to dress in classic lolita, and before that I wore my hair in pigtails with huge, obnoxious pink bows on them everyday. And this was in middle school, mind you. The worst of the judgmental adolescence phase.

First was the hardest and most awkward, but after that it was fine. It will be the same for you, and you will appreciate (or ignore) the stares. Even the hateful ones.

You've been gone a while and there are many new members now. Many of the 'old' members still pop in occasionally, though, but not Minnie.

Wolfie! Good to see you again, I hope all is well in your part of the world!

We're doing an Elvis themed wedding (only appropriate since that's my kiddos middle name!).

I can't wait. Never been to Vegas and this will most likely be our only trip there since we don't gamble and have never had occasion to go there prior to this.
