AACK! relatives who think I can invite everyone at once.
My mom, one cousin and one aunt came over a week or so ago. But my aunt just had to mention to another aunt that my place is gorgeous. So now Aunt 2 is upset that she wasn't invited. Um, those plans had been spur of the moment and I don't have a lot of room to invite lots of people. They have bigger houses than I do, I just have a 1-bedroom condo - well maybe I can get card tables to seat more people - AACK!! I'm no master entertainer.
And Mom called to tell me this, although Mom told me that Aunt 2 is hypersensitive and I shouldn't go around feeling guilty about it. I'll figure out how to have Aunt 2 over (along with Uncle and Aunt 3). I wish there were a screaming smiley

But I really do need to buy another sofa. (tears hair out, stomps on it)

I agree with everyone else on this...avoid the artist, they sound like a jerk. Not to mention(as Nephele said) their art kinda sucks.

I hate, hate, hate it when something annoys you(such as the sound of Styrofoam being rubbed against itself) and then they continue to do it, saying things like, "So, this annoys you? Why do you think that is?"

My mother-in-law! I just found out that one of her excuses for not visiting the kids[1] is that my house "doesn't suit her"! WTF? I bust my ass cleaning my godamn house before anyone comes over! Fucking cunt.


[1]The biggest excuse for hubby's family never visiting the kids used to be that we lived too far away. We live only 5 or 10 minutes down the road and they still never come to see the kids. I have to listen to my daughter cry about wanting to go see grandma knowig that the olde woman's too fucking selfish to see her or my son!

Sounds like my mother in law. She is a fisrt class hypocritical bitch, honestly. When we lived about 15 minutes away, we lived to far so she never seen her grandkids. Now we live about 5 minutes away and she is just to busy. Why can she just not come out and say she hates me: it would make both our lives easier. Also, when she got upset that my husband and I got Nyx, my cat. They complained for WEEKS but they have 12 cats of their own. I could go one for weeks about all the things I hatr about my in-laws.

Sounds like my own mother!!! My mother-in-law is actually cool!

Harpy, I never let my family just invite themselves over. My husband will tell 'em flat out " Y'all ain't stayin' here!" If they even hint around in his presence.

I may love my family, but I sure as hell don't like most of them.

Harry's folks have to deal with other people inviting themselves over to their house. Their daughter's...husband (I can barely bring myself to call him such, sure its down on paper, but now they don't even live together, don't like each other and are only together to spite everyone else...thats not a marraige!) spent a few years living at his in-laws house, at THEIR expense. He first moved in before he and Rachel married, because apparently he was having "home problems". But he refused to get a proper job, never paid keep, made the house a mess and ate them out of house and home. But they put up with it for years. He even had the nerve to try and get Harry's dad to let his brother and his slut wife stay at the house (all their kids have been taken by social services because they're so neglectful, she was pregnant by another man and they were told they might let her keep it for a while if she had a stable address...),fortunately, for once, they had a backbone and said no! I'm so glad they finally kicked him out!

His family are the sort to try and impose themselves on you, by say, deliberately staying past midnight and saying "oh, its so late, I don't think a taxi will come, can we sleep over?"

I've always told Harry that Rachel's husband's family will not be welcome even on our front lawn. If I see them coming I'll hold the dog by the collar and threaten to release it Actually, I'm not one to "keep up appearances" and I'm prepared to slam the door in the face of anyone I don't want coming in my house :3 I must get that from my mum lol.

Sounds like a good attitude to have, in my book.^

We all know one... I'm no exception. And my goodness, does she ever get on my... whatevers. Prim, proper, swanks around with an air of being so much better than everyone else. She drives me mad! Goodness only knows, people actually seem to like her - I don't see why; she's empty, arrogant, charmless... How can anyone be friends with her? If I was in their place I'd smack her one, I really would. I just wish I didn't have to be around her.

Trouble is, I have to look at her in the mirror every sodding day.

Speaking of mirrors...people who look at themselves too much in the mirror are completely annoying to me! These are the folks at the gym who have to look in the mirror for every thing they do! Put on their panties, they have to look in the mirror and do the whole check out all the angles. They do it again when they put on their bra, and every other piece of clothing they must put on (and yes, they did it when they were taking their clothes off, as well)! Each phase of their makeup and hair, they check out their whole body again!!! It simply drives me crazy!

I think you're being too hard on her, hun.
