 Re: Thoughts and Sharing Thread
I woke up today and I felt like a bottomless pit. Something is wrong, but I don't know what. Have any of you ever had that feeling? I can't really describe it, but I just know that something is not right at all. Maybe it's just a delayed reaction to all the things that's been happening the last couple of months.

Sometimes, I feel like the world needs a Zombie Apocalypse just so every person of every ethnicity will have to be forced to work together as one to survive.

Alice: I feel like that way sometimes, too.
Necromantic: I would agree with you, except I'm scared of zombies so the first part is like, "nooo!" but the second part is like, "yesss!"

Necro-but the additional pressure to survive would just make people divide into groups and fight each other and the zombies.

I guess I was looking at it from a different p.o.v., you know, I pictured it differently, ha ha. -- Thu May 17, 2012 12:02 pm -- orlok wrote: Necromantic_Lovely wrote: Sometimes, I feel like the world needs a Zombie Apocalypse just so every person of every ethnicity will have to be forced to work together as one to survive. Would boomsticks not alert the zombies to your presence? You need a good crossbow... silent yet lethal (and just like in The Walking Dead, once you have a fatal "head shot" you can reuse your arrows

The Physics That Explain Why You Should Wear Black This SummerHA! I knew it. The Beduins are smart. (Actually, I like white, it's just that my superpower is staining things.)

That, or I'm just now seeing a whole new side of things that I've never seen before. Do you feel comfortable describing this? Well, there was a series of people who usually don't talk to me at great lengths who, yesterday at least, actually seemed interested in having a conversation (most of these people usually say no more than hi and acted like they didn't want to talk when I tried talking to them before, now they were out of the blue were talking like I was their friend) , me accidentally deleting a persons number after telling her I'll help her study for an upcoming test, a bunch of people asking for my help in one of my classes (again, something like this never really happened before) and a few other things that I am not going to get into. Plus, I think I saw a black unmarked helicopter or two.

 Re: Thoughts and Sharing Thread
COMPLETELY NEW TRAIN OF THOUGHT:
Oh my numerous gods, I am so sick of people going on about "kids these days".
Guess what? Oscar Wilde was complaining about the disposability of mainstream fashion in the 1880s. The underground upstarts of anything have been whinging about how "everything [especially in music] gets watered-down once it hits the mainstream" at least since 1920s Jazz. I'm serious, too; if you can find what few recordings of pre-mainstream Jazz existed from then, and then find what the mainstream was passing off as "Jazz", you might be surprised at what a lie pop culture has always been.
And furthermore: Politically, things are a lot better now than they've ever been, and the reason you don't think so is cos, at most, you were fifteen or sixteen years old during the alleged "golden age" you seem to pine for (in some cases, you weren't even alive), and your parents were likely sheltering your arse from how bad it actually was in the real world. Get used to the fact that right now is probably the best it's ever been, and it doesn't matter if it's "right now" as in 2012, or "right now" twenty years on. Nostalgia is for sheep, and if you don't think so, that proves just how thoroughly brainwashed you are.

 Re: Thoughts and Sharing Thread
Just got off the vampire cycle last night. Ugh... I feel horrible today. Does this ever happen to anyone else (Having an awkward and fluctuating sleeping cycle that alters between somewhat normal and completely reversed every few weeks or so) ? Just a thought... Alice in Zombieland: I know exactly how you feel. That basically describes my life. I feel like that very often, unfortunately. I know your pain all too well. It gives me a constant lack of motivation, preventing me from achieving my goals. Necromantic_Lovely: Hahaha! Zombie apocalypse, huh? Well... I've fought many zombies in Dracula's Castle back in 1797. I must do whatever it takes to help ease the burden on mankind, as my mother would have wanted it...Don't worry. You can rely on me to help. I would say that I'm pretty decent with a sword! CallaWolf: I know how you feel man. I'm very much the loner/isolated type so I know what it is like to never have "interaction". I'm sorry to hear of your troubles and I honestly hope things get better for you. But quite frankly, I feel quite like you a lot of times: I just want the world to end. My cursed life has taken it's toll on me to the extreme. Anyway... If you ever need anyone to talk to, I'll gladly converse with you! FairyInBoots: You make a pretty good point. But do remember that there is a difference between being nostalgic and living in the past. One can appreciate old times without clinging to them as one can only live in the past and accept nothing of "now", constantly comparing it to the past. As for me, I like to reflect on past experiences but only to say: "Ah, yes! I remember that..." But I very well know that clinging to the past is a horrible thing. I live for myself, for tomorrow. I don't care about fickle things such as mainstream stuff or politics. They are just a HUGE waste of my time...and they always will be.

Do you agree with your father that man is a "miserable pile of secrets?"

orlok wrote: Do you agree with your father that man is a "miserable pile of secrets?" As for man.... I'll protect them with everything I have. That is my mother's wish. So if they are a " miserable pile of secrets" or not, it is my duty to ease their sufferings and hardships in any way possible. Thing like that don't matter to me...I was never really one to believe in my father's ideals, anyway. (So I take it that you have played or at least seen "Symphony of the Night"?)

 Re: Thoughts and Sharing Thread
My future is screwed up.
I should have applied to more colleges for transfer, because one has wait-listed me, one has rejected me, and I'm sure the last one is going to reject me as well. There are a whole list of reasons as to why I can't stay at my school, but I won't bore y'all with the details. I'm so scared of being stuck in this state like everyone else I know, and that's exactly where I'm headed. I feel like I'm being pushed into going to a university here, and I know that if I do, I won't leave Michigan. And I'm trying my hardest to get the hell out of here, but I don't know what else to do.
*sigh* Just ranting.
