 Re: Whitby outside WGW
I got a message that said "Oh No! WE Couldn't Find Anything."

 Re: Whitby outside WGW
Thanks, Midi - evidently, the best laid plans of Mickey and Minnie, and all that... Okay, I'll break it down into individual photos and post them again later. Sorry, folks... I just fancied trying a slightly different approach to presentation! -- Fri Mar 18, 2011 7:51 pm -- Okay, now I've got a little time on my hands, let's try this again... Tall housesNorth bank of the Esk (note "The Dracula Experience", top left-hand corner, and Whitby Gothic Crafts next door on the right). And this is... South bank, including the Abbey complexIt's a working port too... There's always one show-off... South bank again...The Sea, the Sea... (looking north again) View of Church StreetMarinaCrab pots These are everywhere around the harbour. They make for brilliant photos, to my mind. I liked the way this pile of pots mirrored the crest of the roofs in the background. See what I mean?Okay, okay... enough of the crab pots already! (though I admit this would make a brilliant jigsaw puzzle, I think!) Gateway to the North SeaTall houses - a slight return... Enjoy... Finally!

Minnie, How wonderful! My favorite was "The Sea, the Sea". I wish we had views like that where I live. I also loved the birds in the last picture for some reason.

 Re: Whitby outside WGW
Thanks for checking back, Midi - when my last post got swallowed by the post before that as an "Edit", I didn't think anybody would get to see the pictures. I'm really grateful to you, and as always, I'm really glad you like them.
My personal favourite is the first "Tall Houses", but I also love the feel of "The Sea, the Sea..." - it wasn't the warmest of days, as you can probably tell by the sky, and I thought that picture captured the cold and the saltiness of the sea quite well.

 Re: Whitby outside WGW
Tall houses was a pretty picture. It had a very homely feel to me, like it would be a city anyone would be proud to call home. The sea, the sea- yes you could tell it was cold out. I felt it to be extraordinary. You always bring us such wonderful pictures!

I think you'll love the Abbey and St Mary's Churchyard pictures I got this time out. As soon as I can, I'll get them up for everyone... I hope you like them, and I'm sorry about the delay!
