A few weeks ago, I tried to write a cosmic horror troy a la H.P. Lovecraft. It somehow morphed into a romantic comedy crossover between Gormenghast, Sherlock Holmes, Azumanga Daioh, and Nixa. MLIG?

Whilst hanging out reading in my darkened bedroom one afternoon my father came in, looked around at the dimmed lights, candles, and array of black boots and clothing scattered on the floor and said, "Damn, Jenn, you're living like a vampire in here." I replied, "Thank you, Dad!"

Last October 30th I went into work to pick up my schedule. My boss walked up to me and asked if I was working that day. I said no. He replied, "Good, because it's not wear-your-costume-to-work-day yet..." I was barely even dressed up too.

I bought several books on witchcraft. The cashier asked me if I was summoning a monster. I grimaced at him and replied "Nah, a succubus is a person, just like you and me."

I was trying on a corset when I went to bike week and the assistant whose job it is to help young ladies into the corsets was amazed at how quickly I was able to take my old corset off, and put the new one one without any assistance. She asked me how I learned to do it , and I told her I wear corsets quite often. She said "Oh, you must be burlesque dancer."

It is now 4:00AM where I am, and I am listening to The Birthday Massarce while reading random goth stuff and looking at pictures of cemeteries and skulls. MLIG

I got a "what are you supposed to be...its not Halloween yet" comment today (by a rather rude woman at a dmv) to which I answered.."uhh...sure it is..your calendar must be off a bit dear, besides you could have fooled me with your costume...now tell me which witch are you supposed to be"...awkward silence broken by phone ringing..my ringtone just happens to be "love will tear us apart"

I went to Downtown Disney last week and immediately began looking for plushies of Scar and Maleficent. MLIG.

None of my family can understand why I have taken to becoming a Goth, and when they see my collection of spooky right in the face ornaments, they think I've gone a bit crazy. Oh no.... it's not just confined to my bedroom, It takes a brave person to sit in my lounge lol.

I packed my suitcase this morning for a week's vacation, starting tomorrow.
Every. single. thing. in the suitcase is black. Then I gathered up the peripherals I'll need: parasol, gravestone rubbing kit, Edward Gorey tote bag. MLIG.

I spend so much time in my room reading by candlelight without coming out, my little brother thought I died in here.
