I'm also a fan of Suda 51's games for his dark, surreal, bizarre, artistic and stylish visuals and challenging the gaming into conventional and unique arthouse style, gameplay, characters and deep and complex meanings unlike your own average game. I enjoy Killer 7, No More Heroes and Chainsaw Lollipop by Goichi Suda himself. Yourself?

I also forgot to put Shadows of the Damned, I loved that game as well and it was produced by Suda51. It was an third person action and psychological horror comedy game. Stylish in a dark and fun way, yet entertaining.

The major disadvantage of it, is when the controls can be frustatingly irritating at first, then you'll probably get used to it after of playing it for an hour or two. Also the action in it is totally intense and exciting, I also just find some of the quotes and the dark, sardonic humour hilarious as well, it cracks me up.

I'll have to check out Killer 7. I had my eyes on Shadows for a long while. My friend bought it and gave it a bad review, so I didn't bother.

It isn't everyones cup of tea, It didn't bother me when it was a third person and the gameplay feels like Resident Evil 4, I respected it for its artistic, horror, action and humour.

If you want to try Killer 7, if you're into anime, surrealism, art and gore. It might be for you, but there is always a chance to try it out to see if it's good or not depending on your interest level.

I'm a huge fan of the REAL Silent Hill games. I'm a general lover of horror games. I guess I'd be willing to give Shadows a try. If I find it around used for not too much then I'd be willing to grab it.

Recently, I've discovered Frictional Games and their Penumbra and Amnesia series. Really good games overall.

.

When you say "real" Silent Hill games, which ones are you referring to, specifically? Are you referring to 1, 2, & 3? All numbered titles in the series (which would include the fourth title)? All the console based titles? All the Sony based titles?

I myself loved the series, even Origins, Homecoming, and Downpour. Though I must admit that I thought the fourth game, The Room was meh at best, and I passed whatever that one was on the Wii (1. because I don't have a Wii, and 2. It looked like it was gonna be meh, too) as well as Book of Memories or whatever that Vita title was.

I have Amnesia on the PC, it seemed like it was pretty good, but I gave up on it when you had to walk around the cellar and was having the invisible monster attacking you. I never liked the invisi-enemy thing, in any game. I always felt like it was a cheap way to increase the difficulty, but that's just me.

Ah... Good memories. Silent Hill is awesome and I'm a fan of them too. When I played the first game on the demo as a kid, I was afraid of these mumblers with the claws (replaced the grey children with a knife in UK and controversial) in the Midwich Elementary School and maybe these harmless ghost children and they looked like squeaky penguins to me at first while wandering around the darkened corridors. The second one was the first Silent Hill game I've ever owned and I like it as well the first. I never owned the third and fourth, but Origins on PSP, yes. I'm hoping to buy the (including the second and third) HD Collection on Ps3 someday and get the trophies. I also admire Silent Hill for its explicit gore and horror and the foggy, dark ambient music and the static radio atmosphere surrounding it.

Also Amnesia: The Dark Descent is a really good indie horror game and I have it directly from Steam, never got around to complete it yet.
