Post SkullGirl
If you have not heard about SkullGirl here's the fast version.
SkullGirl is an old styled 2D fighting game. Each character is unique, every attack is fast and the combo pile does not stop from getting taller. Boasting a roster of seven with two more as DLC, this is to be released the first quarter of next year. It frankly looks worth the money from the videos.

There is a magic item called the SkullHeart in Canopy Kingdom. This item can grant wishes. If your soul is even the slightest bit impure wishing on the SkullHeart will warp your wish and turn you into a monster, known as a SkullGirl. These girls now fight for the SkullHeart and to destroy the most powerful SkullGirl in the world.

Each attack style is unique. Cartoon style brutalized, deadly slapstick, using your own head as a weapon separate from your body, to using your hair,Hat orumbrella to fight. Each character is hand-drawn and it supposedly boasts more frames than Tekken3.

I will probably not play Ms Fortune due to excessive puns, everyone else seems good though.
What do you guys think about this?

I really shouldn't, I have so many beat 'em ups already (2 street fighters, 2 Marvel vs Capcoms and 4 Mortal Kombats + Rag Doll Kung Fu), but this looks fun, and the idea seems quirky and interesting...so I probably will...

I think I like Peacock the best. She is an evil little monster but she's just so funny. Which character do you think you'll play?
Nephele obviously like Ms Fortune

Yup, punny Ms Fortune is my kind of toon.

Peacock reminds me of the old Popeye cartoons!

I think Painwheel will be my first choice :)
Though I won't know who I'll really like until I play with them, and get a feel for their play styles.
I typically favour the weaker but fast with long range attacks kind of characters in these games, something Painwheel doesn't seem to be from the videos I looked at.

Maybe when it's out we can have a goth.net tournament :)
Depending on what systems everyone will be playing on.

I didn't think I'd be very interested, but surprisingly I am. I do believe I'll be getting this.

For anyone that may have forgotten, this is now out, here is a quick (very positive) review from IGN.
I currently have the games demo downloading to try it out myself :)
