Where do you shop for your clothing?
I didn't see a similar topic here, so yeah correct me if there's actually one.
Where do you shop for your clothes? Over where I live there's one local Gothic shop and that's 15 miles away so I tend to buy things online. Attitude is the place I go usually but I really don't know many other shops online that do it. The local shop I'm talking about is shutting down too, which is a crock since it's being replaced by a JD Sports. Fuck, that's adding insult to injury. One reason for posting this topic is genuine curiosity, the other is for recommendations (for online Gothic shops of course). I'm from the UK and the north of England at that, so anything considered as an alternative style is very rare over here.
I have a feeling I'm somehow breaking a rule, but maybe that's because I'm a newb

Ebay, Etsy, Thrift stores, and Garnet Hill.
I buy most of my clothes online because of the better selection and most shops on Etsy with customize things for you or make it to your measurements. It's hard to shop "off the rack" for my hourglass shape and height. :/

Re: Where do you shop for your clothing?
For me, it depends what I'm looking for.
Band shirts, I try to buy directly from the artist's website or at shows or our local goth store. Black pants, I'm currently stuck with Walmart (cheap and I can find my size relatively easily). Shoes I tend to buy online since I know my size. I admittedly don't like to shop for clothes much, so yeah... I am trying to pull a more deathrock inspired look for some events at our goth club that are coming up, so I'll be hitting up some thrift stores around Houston over my winter break to see if I can find stuff that I can shred up or modify for a low price. We shall see!

My husband and I troll all the thrift stores locally. It is very cool when you can find a gem in amongst all the crap. Treasure hunting.

Try either Blue Banana or Dark Muse.
Use Ebay as a last resort though I warn you; they are quite expensive.

Mostly H&M and thriftstores. As long as it's black, I can make it work.

Re: Where do you shop for your clothing?
I think ebay has a better selection than etsy, and usually lower prices on stuff but clothing on eBay is rarely even put on a dress form so it's so hard to know what the stuff actually looks like with it just thrown on the floor for pictures. With etsy usually it's either on a dress form or someone is wearing it so you have a better idea on what it looks like.
Until my last computer crash I had every [currently-active] band I listen to bookmarked and would usually go threw them all every year or two to buy some tshirts.

Ebay generally. Stores like Topshop and H&M are also great. I avoid gothic shops in my town because they're ridiculously expensive.

I've found some pretty awesome items through "Etsy." Everything there is so unique and I love it!

Re: Where do you shop for your clothing?
Oops, I forgot about this thread and totally neglected it The store I mentioned in the thread is now a JD Sports, it's so sad to see it go! There was so much cool stuff there I wish I had, now there'll be chavs and goons walking on the very floor that once held so many great things. I wish I could bring it back, but alas, I can't. I have recently found something I really want but it's way too expensive for me at the moment: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B005DR4KD8/ref=asc_df_B005DR4KD86419210/?tag=googlecouk06-21&creative=22134&creativeASIN=B005DR4KD8&linkCode=asn Looks so cool!

Re: Where do you shop for your clothing?
In the real world, my top picks are Forever 21 or the Salvation Army. Also, a lot of "urban wear" stores (I call them that because I usually see them in abundance in predominately black neighborhoods) have a lot of great finds when you know how to look at them.
Keep meaning to go into that H&M store....

Re: Where do you shop for your clothing?
I'm a big fan of formal men's clothing. I enjoy wholesale places like TjMaxx, Ross Dress for Less, Burlington Coat Factor, and Nordstrom's Rack. My first and foremost love is for good suits. I will buy from places like Men's Warehouse and other major retailers on occasion.
