Any ideas for making curly hair gothic?
I have curly hair and it completely ruins the gothic image. Any suggestions?

Re: Any ideas for making curly hair gothic?
I know what you mean I have curly hair as well. Mmm you could dye your hair a really cool color(s) shave the sides off and have a curly. Mohawk down the center blue black is a cool color. Also have you thought about dread looks? Since you already have curly hair it want take to long to lock up. Hey you could do a dreaded mohawk or many different styles with dreads there very versitile (spell check?) Sorry I am not much help I know having curly hair sucks but if I think of something else ill keep you posted.

Ultimate Goth GuideI personally find curly hair on men super sexy. Just make sure it is cut right and defined. Bram Stoker's Dracula as a gentleman in London

Aw, it so DOESN'T ruin the goth 'image'. Remember, a good chunk of being goth is the attitude and confidence you give off. You don't have to have perfectly straight hair, or fit every steretype to be goth or even look goth. Do what makes you happy. And trust me, this is coming from a curly-haired girl whose hair is anything but goth. Oh, and btw, like Night Mare said, curly hair on gents is suberduber sexy.

Re: Any ideas for making curly hair gothic?
My hair is really curly, so I just dye it black and whatever colour happens to be under my sink at the moment. It just does what it wants.
Curly hair does look great on guys. Have you tried teasing it out and making it defy gravity with some hairspray?

Re: Any ideas for making curly hair gothic?
@everyone. Thanks so much! The dredlock idea sounds as if it could be pretty epic.thanks! I might get some hairspray and see what comes out but I usually just wet it and get it all over the place with a thick wavy fringe going over an eye. My hair saddly is only a sort of dark brown colour so me and my punk friend are planning on going to get my hair dyed black with bursts of bright purple and green and his dyed bright red! I am looking forward to it much so! Thanks so much for all the ideas it's realy good morale booster for me. Thank you so much!

Re: Any ideas for making curly hair gothic?
I had frizzy curly hair, and I absolutely hated it - so I put it in dreadlocks! (my avatar is pre-dreads, with my hair somewhat straightened) I love it now! I recommend it

Re: Any ideas for making curly hair gothic?
Yeah dreds would be cool but I am not the cybergoth/rivethead type. I am more power goth( ) with a twist of Victorian. But thanks for the suggestion. (p.s @bloodspit if you are new to goth.net, welcome!)

Re: Any ideas for making curly hair gothic?
Dreads don't have to be cybergoth/rivethead (i'm neither of those in terms of clothing/style). And thank you!

I adore Gary Oldman's look in that picture! I have weird hair, it is more ringlets than curls so I just keep it clean and conditioned and let it do whatever it wants to do

Color can make all the difference too, black with a highlight colour looks cool.

Re: Any ideas for making curly hair gothic?
Sadly I can't colour my hair anymore as it has a tendency to fall out, so I have to make do with what I have been endowed with by nature
