 Re: What you desire?
I've seen this hoodie once or twice, and it really bugs me that I can't identify it by brand or find it anywhere. It's black with thin vertical and horizontal stripes in all different colours - possibly volcom, but not too sure. Care to put your collective minds together and help me identify it? The gentleman on the far right is wearing it.

 Re: What you desire?
What do I want? I want some bespoke black riding boots, bespoke brogues, and bespoke loafers. Why can't I have them? Because a bespoke pair of shoes can cost up to 6000 Euros...

I really really want a Mac Pro Desktop with a full video editing suite and all the storage I could ever need, but that's so far out of my price range that even thinking about it makes my bank account scream in terror.

I so badly wish I had better research skills! I'm meticulous, but it takes forever to find information that I need

I really want a pair of Leather Lace-up thigh-highs but there always so expensive and so hard to find. I found some made out of pvc but I hate pvc cause it sticks together and makes an awful squeaking noise when you walk.

 Re: What you desire?
I currently want a death-hawk, platform boots, enough eyeliner to literally *BLACK* out the sun, white foundation, and a long velvet coat. I also want to get my teeth done all nice and sharp. And finally, maybe some cool fashion lenses that DON'T have the risk of coronary ulcers and or blindness

 Re: What you desire?
a late victorian/edwardian riding habit. I have just found the pattern for one and have decided that I will save up all year and reward myself after A levels by getting a dressmaker to make one.

Wolfmammy wrote: Quality parasols not made of flimsy, easily broken materials or that don't arrive already broken.... There's a way around that: try to find an older, but still intact umbrella. They're not too hard to find cheap at antique shops, flea markets etc around here. Most new umbrellas & parasols are cheaply made and have very few ribs or stretchers [ see diagram] which means they take on a shape & size that doesn't really match what was actually used 80+ years ago. What usually does older umbrellas & parasols in is the fabric rips along the rim during the opening & closing so I then take some string and tie the ends of the ribs to elevate the pressure that's put on the fabric [if the fabric is especially weak you'll need to reinforce the ribs in multiple spots, and hope it doesn't get wet while open]. Basically you want the string to keep the ribs from bowing apart from their normal location when under pressure. Then you can sew over the existing original fabric with something newer and add lace, fringe, whatever. The tricky part is removing the handle & putting a proper one on [umbrellas are usually a hook, parasols are usually a straight knob]. The old umbrellas are made to withstand wind, and should have solid steel frames. The parasol I keep in my car is an older umbrella I've done this to, and I have never worried about damaging it. The original "real" parasols I have are so fragile I always worry about breaking them.
