hey...
somhow i´ve been noticing that there is somewaht a BIG FUCKIN´DIFFERENCE *g* between the US and european goth scene...
it all starts with the music.
Acts that are really successfull in EU seem to not even be noticed in the US... just a few examples: Das Ich, CombiChrist, Suicide Commando, Sentenced, Lacrimosa, Fileds of the Nephilim...
and then there´s the style: (following is absolutely NOT meant as any kind of offense towards anybody)
US goths seem to be abit more experimental, kind of freakier in looks and more oriented toward cybergoth or fetish scenes... in europe, one is considdered a "real" goth if one wears medieval or renaissance-style clothing...
everything else is more categoriezed into "new", "fetish" and "wannabe", so that´s that...
the interrests seem to be the most important in the EU, you would be considdered as a goth almost just for having more thoughts on your mind than the average person and dressing black at the same time...
what do you know about it and how do you think of it?
