 Pathetic, Pathetic, Pathetic Twilight fans
http://movies.yahoo.com/feature/movie-t ... ships.htmlWell We who are not twilight fans have noticed far before the newspapers haqve, but at least people are beggining to take notice of this. Sigh, Meyer might have had to sellher soul to Arq for this kind of popularity.

Quote: there is a chemical that's released when you're falling in love, your brain has it when you're reading or watching 'Twilight.' I thought that was called a sever need to commit suicide...hmm Quote: The names "Bella," "Jacob," and "Cullen" are climbing the popular-baby-name lists every year as more and more parents make their "Twilight" fandom a permanent part of their families. Gods No...my kids are gonna be firends with people whose parents are compelte idiots when it comes to vampires...damn it. I can proudly exclaim that no addiction do I have to twilight, other than the twilight that his site brings me....yes I am completely addicted to goth.net and our inhabitants. Re: Pathetic, Pathetic, Pathetic Twilight fans
I admit - please don't kill me! - that after first reading Twilight I did become briefly addicted. Fora bout five whole minutes, actually. That time was spent planning the Campaign for Sparkly Werewolves - 'Giving Werwolves a Chance to Shine' - until I then realised how stupid the whole sparkle thing was. I then cast Twilight aside in disgust and went off to read Tess of the d'Ubervilles.
Moral of the Story - Tess is better than Bella.

Chocolate does that too. At least, according to Willy Wonka. So, why not throw out your copy of "Twilight" and buy chocolate bars instead? 50-year-old former engineer experiencing "Twilight"-related marital problems? Oh, boy. At least "Bella" and "Jacob" are real names. Being named "Bella" would be far better than growing up named "Chardonnay". "Cullen", however... There's one kid who's going to have learn to rip people second what-have-yous from an early age...

No! I have perfect teeth!
Actually, its really creepy, I don't have to look after my teeth hardly at all and, according to my dentist, they're 'perfect'.
Whereas, the rest of my family have all had fillings and such like.
'Tis strange...

Re: Pathetic, Pathetic, Pathetic Twilight fans
The Article Linked wrote: The names "Bella," "Jacob," and "Cullen" are climbing the popular-baby-name lists every year as more and more parents make their "Twilight" fandom a permanent part of their families. What a load of BS publicity hype! The name "Jacob" has been the #1 most popular baby boy's name in the U.S. since 1999 – six years before Meyer's Twilight novel was published. It's more likely that Stephenie Meyer was the one who was influenced by the popularity of that name, in choosing it for one of her characters. The name "Bella" started climbing up the U.S. baby names popularity lists beginning in 2000 – five years before Twilight. Twilight may have given the name a little boost, but a more likely explanation for Bella's popularity is because it's a diminutive of the current #1 reigning most popular baby girl's name in the U.S.: "Isabella" -- which first hit the U.S. Top 100 most popular baby girls' names list in 1998, seven years before Twilight. Again, Meyer was the one most likely influenced by the name's popularity, when choosing it for her character. The name "Cullen" has had its ups and downs since the '70s and, while it reached its popularity peak last year, the preceding year it had dipped to one of its lows. It's dubious that Twilight is to be credited for any "popularity" of that name, as it's not even in the U.S. Top 400 (and never has been). -- Nephele

Re: Pathetic, Pathetic, Pathetic Twilight fans
Whatever happened to naming your kids after pop singers and totalitarian dictators?
But seriously: how many times have I threatened suicide over Twilight b.s.?
Stop giving Twilight so much credit for redundency, unless you're comemorating Twilight for its redundency and overall lack of originality in teen literary history.
(By "you" I'm talking about the nimrods who are hyping this shit up for nothing.)

Opps, I hit url instead of quote in my OP. Sorry, everyone, I just noticed that! And I agree with the above comments. *Runs for the nearest chocolate bar which I have recently named Bella.*

Re: Pathetic, Pathetic, Pathetic Twilight fans
Those three uses of "pathetic" in the subject line are kind of redundant since they're already implied in the words "Twilight Fan." I once challenged myself and a friend to sit through the first movie to see if we could actually make it through to the end. Even though I had a big bottle of Jack Daniels to numb the pain (my friend, being pregnant, didn't have the luxury of alcohol), we still nearly didn't make it past the first hour, and by the end of the whole sorry affair the bottle was nearly empty. As was my faith in humanity. I've since been challenged to watch the sequels, so I'm making preparations to say goodbye to my liver.
