and unholy, please proof read your posts. They don't have to be doctorate-level dissertations on the necessity of grammar in our modern society, but real words would be nice.
If you don't want to see the movie, don't. No one is forcing you to, but you'll notice everyone in this thread
did see the movie. And as for your reverence for the "original" movie, I don't understand it. Sure, I enjoyed the Gene Wilder version as a kid (until I read the book, that is), but of the two films, the "original" is far more pandering and saccharin, and a pretty awful adaptation of an awesome book.
But, that's just my opinion, and I am as entitled to it as you are to your feeling of betrayal over the remake of the 1970s "classic."
