Satyricon is excellent, especially their earlier albums. My favorite back metal band is probably Burzum though.

| I'm pretty sure if you went back in time and gave some vikings guitars and makeup, this is what would happen. |

| Thanks guys, I needed some new music to check out. I've liked Coil and Nurse With Wound for a while (Burzum's ambient stuff is great too, especially Tomhet on Hvis Lyset Tar Oss), but I haven't even heard of a lot of these. |

| I've decided to do something different with my hair, now that I can/feel comfortable enough to (I'll spare you the details of that). I'm open to most anything but a shaved head, or letting it grow into the whiteman's fro it will without straightening. Right now it's damaged from a straightener which... |

Fight Club. If you don't understand why that's significant, we need to talk.
Some of you need to learn to leave certain things where they belong. |

I don't know if I'd say they're exactly the same. They have dark imagery. They have lyrics about death, doom, and general nastiness. I think the similarities end there. And I even like black metal, particularly Burzum. |

| I think the hatred comes from the fact that it further muddies a rather large genre distinction that mainstream pseudo-metal bands like Marylin Manson and Slipknot have confused a very large number of people about. I'm not going to debate about whether or not a certain genre exists, because that's p... |

| I actually just saw it for the first time about a week ago. It was the first movie since Scarface I had no trouble sitting through. It's also the first movie I actually found disturbing, unless you count Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (don't ask). |

| I've been playing with Buzz quite a bit lately, but it's unstable on my machine and the sounds it creates are subpar, and the mouse and keyboard interface makes it difficult to learn, IMO. I've got some extra cash, and I want to buy a synth. I have almost no experience in the creation of electronic ... |
